She's making the idiotic point that George Floyd was a legitimate criminal so that justifies his murder at the hands of police without due process or a trial.    People who are protesting are out of line because FLoyd had it coming.    And she is somehow conflating the word "victim" to be synonymous with "hero".

Nobody is treating George FLoyd like a role model.   He was the victim of a horrible crime.

I gladly do.   The fact that she's black doesn't give her special powers to exonerate the police in this case - which is clearly the intended effect of her video.

Our president is guilty of felonies far greater than anything George Floyd carried out.  Below is the check his attorney was sentenced to prison for....and Trump was spared prosecution for due to the immunity of his office.   ANd the NY Times has documented 100's of instances of straight-up tax fraud.  In neither case was the perp killed by a cop without due process.       

Floyd's character and criminal history are irrelevant.   Neither give free license to cops to kill an unarmed person do they?  Feel free to disagree by stating as much instead of hiding behind the video used to initiate this thread.

Wow, PJ. The video of I watched shows Candice Owen state about ten times that George Floyd's criminal past does not excuse the police actions.  Maybe PJ should rewatch the video.

I did watch the video - and she absolutely does excuse the police.  "Nobody deserves to be killed in this manner.....but"    here's a list of all of George FLoyd's crimes and other black vicitms crimes too.    So that makes it more ok somehow.

....and then she says there is no systemic issue of racist brutality in AMerican Police....and that incidents like this are rare....and that white people have  a better chance of being the victim in a George FLoyd episode than do blacks....and that people protesting this murder are wrongfully motivated.

By the way - the pundit of your video is a right wing hack with a long history of conspiracy theories.  Since Twitter started checking facts this month she's already lighting up the "lying-sack-of-shit-o-meter"

Its the part of the video where she runs down his littany of crimes.    I'm not going transcript it for you.   I trust you can watch your own video.    And if you disagree - whats the purpose of her running through his criminal history?    How is it in any way relevant to the incident aside from making his death somehow more pallatable?    Can you explain that to me?    Because its very relevant to her.    And thats right about the same time she conflates the words "victim" with "hero" and "martyr".     

Oh - and She also says George Soros is paying the rioters to riot.    Thats the person you went to for perspective on this chapter in our history.

Her point for reviewing his lengthy rap sheet is the same reason that I assumed that Floyd was a criminal.  Those in Floyd's situation tend to be criminals.  If cops are going after all sorts of black people at a disproportionately high rate, then why can't BLM find an upstanding young man who was wrongly killed by cops?  Wouldn't that fine student, Boy Scout and Kroger bagger who was only preparing himself for life be a martyr of choice?  You know why, BLM knows why, and I know why.  Punks of all colors are getting roughed up, and there are more black punks than white punks.

The cop should go to jail for a long time.  That's also her point.  That's also my point.  We can talk about two wrongs at the same time, or is that too difficult.

Is she racist?  A white man arguing the same point is tagged with this label by several on this site, so those people must believe that she's racist, right?  I’ve not heard Kevin or Mister call this black woman a racist.  She’s one of few people of any color who has the guts to verbalize the truth about problems in the black community.  She’s one of the few who challenges the black man to be better.  She understands that the excuses, coddling, and pandering is having detrimental effects.
