They'll never be punished, though. All that has to happen is that a case hits a Trumpy judge and it'll all get thrown out. There's a federal judge--I forget his name--who has been tossing cases against insurrectionists left and right.
Trump did massive damage to America, but the worst aspect of it, and one that kind of flew under the radar, was the Trumpification of the courts. While we were paying attention to his Supreme Court packing, he was also quietly packing the lower courts with loyal lackeys and stooges.
