Lynn and Inner Dowsing Wind Farms

These wind farms are located off the east coast of England.  Below I offer two links.  The first is a 60 minutes piece from yesterday.  It talks about how many homes these farms power.  As I've always said, you will never see a Liberal run news agency present an accurate view of wind/solar farm output.  I've also noted many times in the past that you will never see a Liberal news agency discuss the back up nuclear or gas power plant which must sit in wait for the wind to stop-a-blowin'.  This is as real expense, and Libs wish to bury this cost anywhere but as the wind/solar expense that it is.

The Wikipedia site talks about how these wind farms run at 31-36% of nameplate capacity, which is typical across the globe.

60 minutes, being a Liberal rag, never mentions that the facilities only produce 1/3 the nameplate capacity.  Their comments about how many homes this place powers is a lie, because they use nameplate and not reality.  Furthermore, this puff piece never mentions the back up traditional power plant(s) needed for when the wind stops blowin'.

Moral of the Story:  Never trust a Lyin' Liberal.

Boiler, are you so stupid as to not realize that it's all part of an interconnected grid and that wind power was never meant to be the sole power source?

Guess so! Idiot.

I watched that 60 minutes piece too.   The one where the the wind manufacturing facility rescued the economy of a failed fishing town.   It was a fair piece that marked the pros and cons of the industry as well as noting some unanswered quesitons.   And as you would expect Boilerman posts articles that dont make his point.....and then he says you shouldnt pay attention the links he posted cause their lies or something.

You can bet when natural prices quintupple in Europe this winter the people getting their heat from the wind farms are going to be in a much better place.

But if people like Boilerman want to live with the Flintstones going forward they are entitled to that opinion.

Did Wikipedia not say that the wind farm runs at 31-36% of nameplate?  Yes it does.

Did the 60 Minutes piece use nameplate to calculate how many homes the wind park powers?  Yes it did.

Did 60 minutes address the cost of the back up power plant or power plants needed to back up this wind farm?  No it did not.

This was a Lyin' Lib puff piece.

Did Boilerman hope nobody would actually read his Wikipedia link and catch him citing statistics from 10 years ago  ?  Why yes he did !

"In the first four years of full operation (2009–12) the farm had a capacity factor of between 31 and 36%"

Never trust a lyin' Con. Busted!!!!

Here is data from from 2020 for all UK wind farms.  The two farms that 60 Minutes addressed are running in the 34% range.  You guys don't have a clue, and that's why you're Lyin' Liberals.

Please show me even 1 NY Times article that addresses both actual electricity wind farm production and the cost of the back up plant cost.  You won't provide this information, because the Libs at the NY Times are liars.

Kevin, you have no idea what you're talking about.

If PJ agrees that 60 Minutes used nameplate when calculating homes powered, I will prove that this is false.  I've done the calculation and you have not.  Every Liberal rag uses nameplate production when claiming homes powered, even though they know it's a lie.

Is there anything else?  Never, ever trust a Lyin' LIb.

Neither did you beyond you saying so.   And we know what that means dont we?  Here's the 2022 data....

Grimsby windfarm now fully operational (not 30% like Boilerman lied about)

"our total capacity from Grimsby is 3.8GW, providing enough electricity to power 3.3 million homes. And it does not just stop there, by 2030, we will be on track to power over a quarter of UK households."

Or as Boilerman will  paraphrase that to..."Wind power dont work cause  the wind dont always blow"
