Mild Symptoms?

It doesn't look that way.

Because...?

1.  He hasn't been tweeting which requires a minimal amount of exertion.  If he were simply laying around resting he would be blowing that up because that is what he does.

2.  He didn't make his scheduled phone conferences today. Again, this is something that requires a minimal amount of exertion.

2.  The White House has a full medical staff that can handle almost anything. Yet, he goes to Walter Reed and they announce he is going to be there for a few days.

3.  When he got off Marine One at the hospital he couldn't walk a few yards to the entrance.  He had to be driven in the SUV.

4.  In that short video they released his color is ghostly pale.  He winced with each word he spoke and you could hear his raspy breathing.

The bottom line is people with mild cases don't go to the hospital for days.  It is really extraordinary when you consider he has a full medical staff and medical facilities at the White House.  I suspect his O2 level is low and they are thinking he may need to be put on a ventilator. That is the only reason I can see for moving him from the White House.

Wow! Right after I posted that reply CNN confirmed it was because he was having trouble breathing.

Sorry to hear that.  I'd tuned out to watch a movie around 6 PM CDT.  He had looked pretty stable walking to the helicopter.

I was curious why no mention was being made (on CBS anyway) about the condition of the First Lady.  But then, she is 20 years younger.  Hopefully stable.

My understanding is she is doing well and only has minor symptoms. I believe they were a headache and fatigue.

They're administering a clinically untested antibody drug, which according to at least one highly thought of epidemiologist, you don't do unless you are desperate or crazy. I'm voting for crazy because Trump has a few dingy medical "experts" around. So I guess that's optimistic.

The key is that they tried this desperation drug FIRST. There are many other therapies that they would normally try first, and only if those were ineffective would they change to something more radical. After all, his symptoms were (supposedly) mild.

We're not hearing the whole story.

This evening they announced that they are dosing him with Remdesivir, which at least has been proven to be very effective.

No word on any treatment of hydroxychloroquine or Clorox.

He should refuse treatment, since the virus is a liberal hoax.

The fact that he's receiving such aggressive therapy strongly suggests that he's been ill for several days. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he tested positive BEFORE the debate and went ahead with it anyway. That might partially explain his rambling, incoherent performance.
