Mississippi poison control hotline flooded with people taking horse dewormer.

All of the points I made with this thread hold true....and you've done nothing to refute them:

1)  Ivermectin is not an approved drug for COVID
2) FOX news prime time on several occassions said that it was a valid treatment for COVID

3) People in Mississippi were poisoned as a result

THose things are true.  Asking me to prove a negative doesnt make them less true...and its also something any 10th grade debate teacher will call out as being out of bounds.   I cant find a study that shows dog shit doesnt cure COVID either....maybe Hannity can sell eating a plate of that to his audience tonight.

Oh come on PJ, you keep changing the rules.

1.  The fact that the drug is not approved does not prove that it's ineffective.  Every drug was once not approved.

2.  I viewed 2 of your 3 videos, and I see no where that Fox claims that the drug is effective.  They say that's it been used in many places and that many people believe that it's effective.  All this is factual.

3.  Before you told us people in Mississippi are dying from the drug, but at last report, one person may have gone to the doctor to get checked out after being an idiot.  No one had even come close to dying.

1) so what?  Do you think its responsible reporting to promote a drug that has not been approved by the FDA while simultaneously lying about its effectiveness ...oh, and scaring people about the liberal conspiracy behind the approved vaccine?

2)  So you've said.  I cant help you with that.  I even gave you the transcript where I outlined in RED text where they did.

3) You're right - my apologies.   People were poisoned taking the unapproved drug they purchased from feed stores in Mississippi.   And apparently that consequence is not enough for you to question FOX News promotion of the drug.    Free country.   You're alloweed to have any opinion you want.

I'm refering to PJ's #1 comment above.  Telling the truth is now irresponsible?  PJ equates NOT saying that the drug is bad is equivalent to saying that the drug is good.  THERE IS NO REPUTABLE STUDY PROVING THAT THE DRUG IS EFFECTIVE NOR PROVING THAT THE DRUG IS NOT EFFECT.  THIS COULD BE SAID AT ONE POINT IN TIME FOR ANY DRUG THE FDA HAS EVER APPROVED.

Furthermore, every major drug that the FDA approves gets press in the Liberal rags about how things are looking positive, and this is before testing is complete.  I never hear Libs whine about this.

Except they did say the drug is good.   I'll refer you once again to the comments I highlighted in RED in my previous posts that outline as much.

But its a ridiculous point you're making anyway.      Its not a good idea to take drugs with potentially harmful side effects to treat something it hasnt been approved for.    Thats not an opinion - thats born out by the poisoned people in Mississippi.   And the people who got poisoned didnt get the idea from watching CNN - they got it from watchin FOX News primetime.

I quite clearly said that folks taking an unproven drug are idiots.  I also said that I support one's right to be an idiot.  I believe that not getting the vaccine is stupid, and I support one's right to be stupid.

Regarding you're comments in Red.  Oh my.  How often are Liberals going to take things out of context to change the intent of the message being sent?  Next thing you'll tell us is that Trump said that Covid is a hoax.  That out of context Trump snippet that was sent around and did a job with the low information Liberal voter.  Most of those idiot still believe that bull shit.

All those poisoned people in Mississippi must've interpreted those comments the same way I did.   Lucky for me I dont follow medical advice from retards on FOX News.

Nope, I claim bull shit.  Have you taken Ivermectin?

Nope.

No - for the reason I stated.   But I honestly dont care if you want to be purposefully obtuse about the obvious.

The transcripts and video are there for peope who arent

Have a COVID (and Ivermectin) free day !

The shelves of grocery stores and pharmacies are full of unproven, unapproved remedies for everything, including herbals etc.   Melatonin is a commonly used one for sleep.  If you buy melatonin you may or may not get relief.  You also can not be certain of the strength of ingredients of this brand or that one, including the "inactive" ones which bind the active ingredients, though any may list a "strength".  This is especially true for the herbals.  Talk to a pharmacist and they may even suggest you try melatonin but cannot swear to the content of this or that brand.  Most don't highly recommend herbals, though most of us know of some a friend or neighbor has taken and they either swear they helped or didn't help.  A risk is also that an OTC med may not be compatible with any medicines you already take, not to mention again nobody can say how much "ingredient" is in any of them.  ALL medicines have the potential to have adverse effects, but FDA approved meds are certified for the amount of active and inactive ingredients.

Personal story:  A man in our church was very ill, not sure with what, went through all sorts of tests and treatments, then suddenly he appeared and was looking and feeling fine.  He told the pastor of something he was given, the kind of 'remedy' that could be like Ivermectin or some other brand, something used for worming animals that he swears cured his ailment.  The pastor, who is around 85 years old, and some other old timers said they knew of this kind of treatment from their old farming days.  I do believe his story though no way would I swear it is something that should be taken by humans, but somebody out there knows.  But he didn't die, rather seemed to get well when nothing else worked.   Crazy.

Candy

There are many promising studies on the effectiveness of  Ivermectin.  Of course none of these used the flavor commonly found at large animal supply stores or veterinarians.

These esteemed physicians are convinced Ivermectin should be part of covid treatment protocols.

That being said, your best bet is to follow your doctor's advice and also to get yourself vaccinated.  If your doctor is one of those who believes in the effectiveness of Ivermectin he can prescribe it off-label and you can pick it up at a pharmacy instead of the horse-mart.
