If Joe Biden was really going to win, then why is nobody buying Green energy stocks ?

"Nobody" has seen his investment in the Solar ETF (TAN) go up 130% year to date.
Want to compare that to a chart of Exxon Mobile?

very nice pick . They are having a great year , but a bad week. Are you holding or selling ?
No position unfortunately. Just something I've watched.
What is happening now in the renewable energy sector is miniscule compared to what will happen under the Biden administration--Green New Deal or not.
It's not a hippie granola liberal kind of thing, either. The cost of a megawatt of solar- or wind-generated energy dropped below that of a megawatt of fossil fuel energy a couple of years ago, and the disparity has only grown larger. So even if you don't give two hoots in hell about the environment (i.e., you're a Republican), the sustainable energy sector is a good investment.
And that's only if the Green New Deal isn't a thing (and sadly, it probably won't be). It'll be plain old monetary considerations that fuel the sustainable energy boom. It's free versus having to dig something out of the ground, transport it somewhere, and burn it.

If wind and solar is so cheap, why has California electricy pricining been jumping so rapidly year after year after year as they add solor and wind power? That free energy is very expensive.
I know why. They can't hide the costs that Liberals refuse to count when addressing wind and solar costs.

Even you can figure that out, Boiler. While they're adding renewable energy, they're doing so slowly, and still rely on fossil fuels for most of their power. If they didn't have a renewable energy component in their power generation, their costs would be even higher. It's a simple fact that renewable energy is cheaper than fossil fuel energy.
It's stupid, even for you, to say that it costs more to generate power in a liberal state.
And just so you know, Boiler--"liberal" should not be capitalized.

California has added the most wind and solar power, and their state electricity costs are rising at the fastest rate of any state. Yep, I can figure it out.
The states which are adding little to no wind and solar are seeing little cost increase for electricity.
California average Residential Price for the 12 months ended May 2020 was 19.69 cents/kWh, staying at 55.8% higher than the US average of 12.64 cents/kWh for all states other than California. California’s residential prices remained the 7th highest in the nation.

There is no "if". Solar is now cheaper than coal and natural gas in many parts of the US without subsidies....
and its only getting cheaper
Remeber when Democrats partnered with these companies helping them build the jobs of the future while Republicans cried "Socialism" and "Gubmit pickin winners and losers"?
Democrats had the right vision for energy, jobs, and the environemnt...while Republicans fought to prop up the Blockbuster video companies in the energy sector.

Correlation does not equal causation, Boiler. There are many reason why electricity costs are rising in California. One major such reason is the ongoing need to restore and reroute power in wildfire areas. That costs money.
If the state hadn't added sustainable energy sources, the power companies would be in even worse shape than they are now. It's idiotic to say that NOT adding solar and wind power results in a cost savings, like in the redneck states you love.
