Monument Destruction Should Be Left to the Professionals

Your mom makes good sandwichs, Davee-boi.

Stalker's not really going to Vegas--the mac n' cheese there just isn't like Mommy's.

Kevin's reply is nonresponsive. He will be hiding/spewing filth from his "safe place, while I will be enjoying Vegas. My, and many, many others enjoyment will be magnified by the fact that Kevin will not be there.

According to the U.S. Constitution:  "treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them or adhering to the enemy. . . ."  Every one of these Confederate generals and anyone who voluntarily assist them is/was guilty of treason.  Not "treason" the way you use it, against people you disagree with, but by the strict, black letter law of the land.  I don't think we should ever have monuments and symbols that celebrate traitors.  Do you?

Dealer 1 asks - "I don't think we should ever have monuments and symbols that celebrate traitors.  Do you?" ---- I have never had an opinion, one way or another. I don't as of today. All I can say is that for those who have a problem with these statues and monuments, there are other ways of addressing their removal than tearing them down during a protest/riot. Personally, I have better things to do with my life and how I live it than to worry about a symbol that has no value to me.

Statues that celebrate traitors to the U.S of A. should be removed. Howerver, don't care.

Statues that commemorate a particular battle should stay.

With all of your faux patriotic outrage about Colin Kaepernick, you seem to not have any outrage about people who actually conducted war against the US; nor, about people who celebrate that treason by currently waving a flag that represents that treason.   Oh, but kneeling during the introduction to a football game outrages you?

Every time this issue comes up, CNN or Fox interviews a bunch of yahoos and they all say something like, "You can't change history." The statues and monuments aren't history--they are a glorification of a certain part of it. It's telling that about 60% of the statues and monuments were erected in 1910-1920 (Jim Crow; KKK; lynchings) and 30% in the 1960s (response to the Civil Rights movement). Thus, this urge to "celebrate history" only bubbled to the surface when the good ol' boys were getting antsy about Black people trying to become more than second-class citizens. The statues and monuments celebrate racism--not history.

I live in today's world. You live in the unchangeable past. Krapabovethe neck is an ungreatful cretin followed by idiots. Taking a knee while the Anthem is being played is an act of disrespect to the United States, and to what the Flag stands for and for all of the past and present military men and women who have served this nation, especially those who gave their lives so that liberal scum can enjoy their "priviages". Only gutless assholes take a knee during the anthem. If these protesters want to take a knee they can take one any other time when the Anthen is not being acknowledged. Even a smug bastard like you should comprehend what I am saying.
