David, Columbus has been a big issue for Native Americans and Hispanic people for a long time. When acts of genocide and rape were committed against your ancestors it is hard to let that go. Especially, when you consider the physical appearance of your entire race was forever changed. It seems absolutely perverse to celebrate those who committed such heinous acts as heroes.
