I think you're on to something. But why stop there? Since 78% of all Covid hospitalizations are for those who are overweight or obese, let's just set a maximum BMI that we allow people to have under penalty of death. No sense turning away those who actually care about their health when we have all these fat people with clogged arteries also clogging up the medical system. In addition to solving the Covid treatment issue my solution also fixes metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, heart disease, diabetes, high blood cholesterol, cancers and sleep disorders. I see chairman Kim has lost a lot of weight. Maybe he's preparing such an edict to set an example for the world about how to ration medical care in a modern socialist society.
We might also take a look at a treatment checklist in the ER so if the patient is there due to their own stupid behavior (like alcohol or drugs or foreign objects in body cavities) they are given a compassionate lethal injection on the spot. It's a win/win for society. I know it may seem like a little too much tough love, but in a decade after we set an example of the mostly stupid and the morbidly obese the rest of us can have all the free medical care we deserve. Are you in comrade?

So only three percent of people going to the hospital with COVID are vaccinated....and some smaller subset of that are people who are obese.

It's simpler than that. Insurance, private or public, should refuse to pay bills for covid-related treatment for unvaccinated people. Don't kill 'em. Bankrupt 'em.
And as far as overweight people are concerned...overweight people who get the shots are protected. Fit people who don't, arent.

Obese people are far more likely to get heart disease and diabetes too. They chose to be flabby. Maybe insurance shouldn't pay those bills for the overweight. And if you've ever smoked they should just cancel your insurance right now, right?
Why were people at the emmys not wearing masks, when LA County requires masks at an indoor setting regardless of vaccination status?
It is the double standard of liberal elites doing one thing & requiring the peasants to do another. Why aren't illegals required to be vaccinated (18% are infected) & the citizens are? Why isn't Congress required? It is this inconsistency that creates hesitancy on the part of people.
