No matter what the outcome, there are obviously too many Trumpers

We have a problem in this country that transcends Trump. We evidently have tens of millions of complete idiots who had four years to observe Trump's behavior and yet, concluded that he is fit to be President.

I don't think this country can be redeemed. Let Trump lead his army of uneducated idiots marching down the streets of Stupid America. We intelligent and decent people will form a new nation of our own. Trump Land will gradually deteriorate into a backwater of tobacco-chewing, tractor-riding ignorant rednecks. We don't want to live with those Trumper scum any more than they want to live with us. Let's let them wallow in their filth and ignorance.

As I write this, Biden could still win, but the Senate is probably out of reach. The best-case scenario is that Biden wins but the Republiholes try to overturn the election results by having votes invalidated. IF those court challenges all fail (and apparently, if you're a Republican, you get to try that over and over and only have to succeed once), then we'll have a reasonably stable if dysfunctional government.

However, tens of millions of people will lose their health care, women will have to register with the Abortion Police, and we'll continue to ignore climate change. We will be the pariahs of the western world. Other nations will no longer admire us--perhaps they will pity us.

And if the dark times of a Trump presidency continue, along with a Mitch Senate--well, we will descend into a long nightmare that will destroy us completely.

(And things like Stalker and Boiler will cheer and dance!)

The BIGGEST winner is the United States and the real hard working Americans who are the backbone of our nation. You and those of your ilk are what is WRONG in America. Your ignorance is beyond rational recognition. Time for you to go to your safe place and wail.

Kevin should spend some time riding on a tractor with one of those ignorant rednecks.  He might learn something, including how those rednecks get where they are, how they keep driving that tractor to provide their kids with a decent living and an inheritance of land and values of family and hard work.  And that ignorant redneck will most definitely invite Kevin to share supper with him and the family, and Kevin will learn about true Southern hospitality, which is not a myth.  Kevin might be surprised at what a nice house and farm that redneck has as a result of his hard work, and how kind and friendly the family members are, how polite the kids are as they help their mother set out the meal and clean up afterwards.  As Kevin departs the home Mrs. Redneck will pack him off with some of her canned goods and leftovers from the meal, the best he may have ever tasted.  He might even meet some of the neighbors who come over to meet him and share some of their home grown crops to take with him.  Sweet corn right out of the field?  Yum!

Oh, wait...Kevin will probably never accept these truths even though they are self evident.  More's the pity.

Kevin will never accept that these noble farmers are bigots and racists. Kevin will never accept that these noble farmers ignore sustainable practices and contribute to climate change--while supporting an ideology that says climate change is a liberal hoax. Kevin will never accept that these noble farmers want the state to take control of women's bodies. Kevin will never accept that children are locked in cages because their parents had the temerity to try to immigrate to the US to work for these noble farmers. Kevin will never accept that these noble farmers want to destroy the health care of tens of millions of Americans, including, in many cases, their own.

And most of all, Kevin will never accept that these noble farmers looked at Trump's behavior over the last four years and said, yeah, dang tootin', he's a fine President and ah'm votin' for him again. Talk about brain-dead ignorance and stupidity.

Apparently Kevin Lewis has had the misfortune to encounter farmers significantly different, . . . and downright unpleasant, . . . from the farmers whom DonDiego has known.*

Poor old DonDiego suggests that Kevin Lewis reject any and all of the farm products available as a result of evil farmers' hard work and skills.  DonDiego hopes Kevin Lewis is endowed with the capacity to identify the good farmers [if any] from the evil farmers upon whom he bases his current opinion.

The food I eat is grown by farmers in Oregon, Washington, and California, for the most part. Obviously, I can't tell where the beef in my Big Mac was raised, or where the wheat in the bun came from.

I reject the ennobling of the doughty American farmer as some kind of folk hero. Janitors, teachers, bricklayers, blackjack dealers, refinery workers, social workers, etc. etc.--they all contribute to society, often nigh-invisibly. Nothing special about Clem Cornpone. He's making a living, as we all are.

As far as "judging negatively" is concerned---well, yes, I might tend to judge people who vote for, cheer for, and support the most racist, corrupt, lying, crooked, and incompetent President in American history a wee bit more harshly than DonDiego would. And yea verily, I would make my primary criterion regarding whether a farmer or anyone else was good or evil their choice in their vote for President.

Just to try to help poor old DonDiego to be the best person he can be, can KevinLewis explain if voting for someone other than the Democrat always results in damnation, . . . or can one occasionally choose, say, the Liberal Party candidate, or the Green Party, or the Libertarian Party, or the Party for Socialism and Liberation. . . or the Communist Party USA nominee ? 

Or if, indeed the Communist Party USA would be even more noble than than Democrat Party ?

Good News

__ A majority of Trump supporters (64%) say they would feel relieved if the president is reelected; far fewer (31%) say they would be excited.

__ Biden’s supporters are even more likely than Trump supporters to say they’d be relieved if their candidate wins (73% say this)

Bad News

__ If Biden wins, more Trump supporters say they’d feel disappointment (66%) than anger (31%).

__ And far more Biden (54%) than Trump supporters say they’d be angry if the other candidate wins.

What this election shows me is that there are too many fascists and white supremacists. Of course, not all Trump supporters are fascists and/or white supremacists but a lot are and then the rest of them are at the very least fascism and white supremacists supporters. 

While I wouldn't advocate restrictions on speech, we need to look at whether these people should have access to a megaphone.
