$9B fed money stolen in Mn, hundreds of millions stolen so far in Ca.  That is not rebuilding America

And Trump just spent $14.7 million dollars to destroy the reflecting pool. It is full of algae now and all that new blue paint is peeling off. The company that painted the pool is one of Trump's buddies from Palm Beach that he awarded a no bid contract to.

I wonder how many millions will have to be spent now restoring it?  Do you think Trump will throw a tarp over it to cover up his failure like he did with Kennedy Center?

Now for the facts

The Reflecting Pool’s pre-renovation state drew criticism for its unattractive appearance and perceived neglect, with officials and visitors noting that the water looked “filthy” and did not reflect the iconic monuments clearly POLITICO POLITICO . The algae problem was particularly concerning ahead of major events, such as the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations, prompting emergency cleaning measures Yahoo Yahoo . In summary, before the renovation, the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool was characterized by green, algae-filled water, maintenance difficulties, and a faded, worn appearance, which motivated the extensive repainting, sealing, and filtration upgrades completed in 2026 b17news.com b17news.com

Their analysis revealed that over 700 of the roughly 1,800 hospices in the county trigger multiple red flags for fraud as defined by the state. The densest concentration of agencies in the county sits in a 3-mile radius along Van Nuys Boulevard; nearly 500 hospices operate in the area.

St. Rita’s Home Health has billed Medicare and Medicaid more than $4 million since 2021, despite the location saying it’s for rent at a strip mall in Van Nuys.

89 companies are registered to a single building in Van Nuys.

“There are roughly 7,000 hospice programs across the US. There are 91 in Florida, 39 in New York — and over 2,800 (40%) in California,” Dr. Byock said.

Thats 9 whole days of the Iran war....and thats not counting the cost of replacing the munitions spent.       And since the fraud you reference has been identified the government is actively getting it back.   But thanks for sharing !

Tom's official position is the IRan War benefits Americans more than Medicare/Medicaid.     Holy shit.    Thats all I can say.

And since the fraud you reference has been identified the government is actively getting it back.

The money has been sent to somalia and other places.  Long gone

Didn't say that.  I am against fraud.

It is too easy to commit fraud.  A woman, "administrator" for a home care outfit, created a false profile for her son and used it to bill Medicaid for personal care services that were never provided.  She also conspired with a guardian of two minor Medicaid beneficiaries, approving fraudulent time sheets.  The woman paid the guardian kickbacks.

The woman ows $74,579.88 in restitution.  A pittance compared with the millions and billions we read about, but think about all the similar fraud carried out everywhere, what it takes to catch them, go through the courts, meanwhile care isn't available to someone who needs it.

It's nothing more than Trump grift. He gave the contract to one of his buddies, along with a blank check.

The Pool needed nothing more than routine cleaning.

BULLSHIT, you're "against fraud." You've been a rabid supporter of the worst fraudster in American history. He's stolen hundreds of billions of dollars from all of us, you included.

I know, I know. It was all a witch hunt and lawfare and TDS TDS TDS and Trump never did anything wrong in his entire life and has never lied, cheated, or stolen wocka wocka wocka. Plus, a Tom-stat about the price of radishes.

The money you're whining about, even if it was all in "Somalia and other places" (and of course, it isn't; what a stupid fucking thing to say), amounts to about a week's worth of Turd War expenses. But you lick lick lick Trump's toes and cheer for his war. That money going down the drain? Doesn't bother you. High gas prices? Tariffs? Trillions of dollars stolen from American pockets by Trump? Not to worry, says stupid Tom!

I sense a contradiction.

That money you refer to is being consumed every 0.03 seconds in the Iran war. It is collected via tariffs (which are still in place) every 4 seconds. Americans are paying that much extra for gas (compared to prices at the start of the war) every 1.5 seconds. And that amount of money will pay for about 1/40th of the cost of the missile that was used to blow up a girls' school in Tehran.

Those most "upset" about fraud are those turning the blindest eye to the money being poured like a waterfall down the Trump sewer.

And as far as care being unavailable to someone who needs it--that's not a matter of funding, it's a matter of national will. If we wanted to ensure that everyone who needs care gets it, we could always act like other, more civilized nations and adopt universal, single-payer, government-funded health care.

Once again we see P J and Lying Lewis denying reality.
