My calculation included Italy & Ireland, but I overlooked typing them in. If you include those other countries their population is less than the US, but they have more cases & deaths.
So who do you blame?

I'm focusing on the ONE person who was writing love letters to China on the subject. President Donald. J. Trump.

Tom, how do you explain India and China which both have about 4-5 times the US population? Or how come our fatality rate is running just under 6%? Btw the flu has a fatality rate of one-tenth of one percent. Not to mention the 15% of folks that get COVID-19 and have to live the rest of their life with organ damage.
Do you think Tom and Charles will mind if we confiscate their future earnings to support the families of those they offered up to serve as sacrificial lambs?
Of course this is fake news. The fatality rate of Covid 19 is FAR LESS THAN 6%. I think you were claiming 10% early on. You are only including people who are sick enough to get tested. Half the people infected have no symptoms. Another large percent have very mild symptoms.
"The research, published in the medical journal The Lancet Infectious Diseases, estimated that about 0.66% of those infected with the virus will die."
https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/30/health/coronavirus-lower-death-rate/index.html
Let me be clear. Covid 19 is still much more deadly than the seasonal flu. Especially to the Elderly and those with comorbidities which are the VAST majority of serious cases...as much as 95%. It's also more contageous than the seasonal flu. Now why would I compare it to the flu? Because the flu has killed millions. 50,000 this season alone. Yet no one ever suggests a total lockdown to prevent those deaths. Maybe we should confiscate Mark's future earnings to support the families of flu victims he has callously offered up as sacrifical lambs for years.
Mark acts like the only costs from the lockdown are financial. It's impacting peoples health too. Like those who aren't getting screened for cancer or having regular dr visits or suicides or domestic violence. What if we end up with an extra 1000 deaths because of the lockdown? What if it's 50,000 or 100,000? Who is Mark to decide who lives and who dies? And then there's the possibility of a global hunger pandemic brought about by the economic impact of Covid. Possibly millions dead because of the economic fallout.
"But he said he raised the prospect of “a hunger pandemic” because “there is also a real danger that more people could potentially die from the economic impact of COVID-19 than from the virus itself.”

My humble suggestion was to focus our resources on protecting the vulnerable and let the rest of the population get back to work. Of course that should be the decision of State and Local officials who are closest to the issues in their communities...not the decision of the Federal government. One size does not fit all.
Now, what do I mean by 'protecting the vulnerable'. Educate them how to protect themselves, Lock them down. Focus the testing on their care givers. Take care of them. And certainly don't the fuck send patients who are Covid 19 positive back to their nursing homes where they can infect the entire facility like your golden boy Cuomo did in New York. That's just stupid.

Blame? You think this is about blame at this point?
I know you're a Trump love-slave, but my God, man, you don't have to copy his every word and thought!

Typical Trumper Fox News-style out of context nonsense.
She was talking about the opportunity to increase support for better health care. And if you think that TRUMP hasn't also been weighing the effect of the coronavirus on the 2020 elections...
I agree with the premise. This crisis has many horrible negative aspects but there are some positive ones. Better health care systems and the utter destruction of Trump and the Republican Party are two such potential positives.
