Recall PJ telling us that everything in Chicago/Illinois is wonderful

My friend moved from 1730 North Clark Street due to crime.  PJ tells us that there are no worries about crime.  PJ, I suggest that you explain that to the 105,000 people who moved from Illinois in 2021.  I suspect that by the time 2022 data is offered, the number of those fleeing the state will accelerate.

My brother and sister-in-law left Campton Hills, IL, an affluent far western suburb of Chicago.  Crime wasn't an issue for them 5 years ago when they moved.  They left due to ever increasing taxes and general Illinois fiscal irresponsability.  His best friend and wife left for the same reason.  Both couples now live in the Asheville, NC area.

$10.9 billion in adjusted gross income left Illinois in 2021.......only to be outdone by California and NY, losing $26 billion and $16 billion respectively.  Florida and Texas are enjoying the biggest increases people and wealth moving there.

I believe it was PJ that told us that people in California are leaving for better weather.  After all, it couldn't have anything to do with taxes, crime, and homelessness.

I never said everything was wonderful in Chicago.  I jsut said there isnt a perpetual mob of angry black people who attack white people in the heart of Chicago's miracle mile and Lincoln Park area.    Because that was a bullshit narrative that you made up based upon one incident.    And you spent 30 pages backtracking your argument therafter.  And I invite everyone to go back and read that thread where you changed your story, argument and geographical location about 100 times. 

BY the way - I agree lots of people left for "no income tax" states during the pandemic when companies allowed them to leave the office and work from anywhere.    It allowed them to keep their high paying tech job while also avoid  paying income  taxes.    This was further incentivized by Republicans and the Trump administration killing SALT tax deductions in blue states.   

Here's the problem - Salesforce, Oracle, Apple, Alphabet, and Microsoft cant relocate their headqurters to Tampa or Houston.  Know why?  They cant get enough educated students from those trailer trash education systems to sustain their resources.    So they have to stay in those cursed liberal states that actually invest in education instead of low taxes..

But to the extent people can have the best of both worlds - I'm sure they will.  And if you think its a good thing that people are moving from California to Texas....you better review what happened to Colorado's politics when they all moved there 20 years ago.

I also never backtracked for a second.  Just because your confused about the four different neighborhoods along Lincoln park, doesn't make me backtracking.  Most of what I addressed was not white people being attacked, but instead white people being harrassed.  I'm suse PJ's news sources didn't show him the Shut Down mob that arrived a couple of weeks back at Millennium Park.

Anyway, here's how this discussion went months ago.  1.  I said that my friend lives on the SW corner of Lincoln Park.

2.  I later said that my friend lives in Old town.  3.  PJ claimed I was full of shit, since he apparently still believes that 1730 N. Clark Street is in "Lincoln Park" neighborhood.  It is not.  4.  I posted a link to a map showing that 1730 north clark is, in fact, on the park but also in Old Town.  5.  PJ apparently is stiff confused that the Lincoln Park neighborhood is only to the west of about 30% of the park.

That's okay, though.  I didn't know the difference until my friend, Steve, moved there in 1997.  His landlord is having trouble filling the vacancy due to the local violence and troubles with the organized "Shut Downs", as they are called.

Yet the #1 cancer hospital and research facility in the United States is located in Houston.  My oil and gas buddy Pete's wife used to work there and his niece is a professor at the University of Texas MD Anderson........in Houston.

The oil and gas industry has the world's best geologists and engineers and those highly paid people happily live in Houston.  I, along with my three brothers, were all born in the great state of Texas, because my University of Illinois mechanical engineering graduate father went to work for Pure Oil in Houston in 1948.

Once again.........PJ is confused.
