Recall PJ telling us that everything in Chicago/Illinois is wonderful

Texas has SOME smart people. After all, some smart people like to be shitkickers who watch Fox News and fantasize about shooting brown people. But as PJ pointed out, most smart young people flee Texas and won't come back. That's why Texas has no tech industry to speak of.

Texas is an ugly shithole populated by ugly, racist shitheads.

SpaceX and Tesla have moved their HQ's to Texas.

And there is certainly no technology involved in drilling 2.5 mile holes into the earth for oil.  Hell, half of Petes staff only held technology PhD's.  There certainly is no technology involved at the best and largest cancer research center on the globe, MD Anderson.  Oh, and let's not forget that NASA is headquartered in Texas.

Oh, and I just checked.  204,000 Texans work in the computer/information technology sector.

Yep, Kevin is right.

Yeah. They make computers that break. They make software that malfunctions. That's because Texans are really fucking stupid. Hell, they can't even keep the heat on when it gets cold. Then they get power bills for ten grand.

Yeah, Texans are smart. Yee-haw! But don't worry--smart people are coming to Texas to help you guys add and subtract and form complete sentences and stuff. Then, after they take all your money, they'll move back to California. Yee-haw!

If Texans were smart, they wouldn't have elected Cruz and Abbott and voted for Trump-turd twice.

Here is the actual thread. Its a hoot !

Oh, and here's the latest round of Google reviews of the beach next to Boilermna's friend's apartment that is to unsafe to visit according to them.    Nothing but 5 star reviews complete with pictures since we last visited this thread a year ago.

   ENJOY !

PJ'S argument is that people are leaving Chicago because it's wonderful.

Can't break that stupid habit of putting words in other people's mouths, can you?

It's a foolish way to argue.

The beauty of me posting the link is so people dont have to listen to you paraphrase what my argument is.   Because thts as dishonest as everything else you said on there.

ps - I moved from Chicago to Indianapolis 20 years ago.   My main reason was for the cheaper cost of living and better weather.    I wont speak for anyone else.

My friend moved from 1730 North Clark Street due to crime.  PJ tells us that there are no worries about crime.  PJ, I suggest that you explain that to the 105,000 people who moved from Illinois in 2021.  I suspect that by the time 2022 data is offered, the number of those fleeing the state will accelerate.

My brother and sister-in-law left Campton Hills, IL, an affluent far western suburb of Chicago.  Crime wasn't an issue for them 5 years ago when they moved.  They left due to ever increasing taxes and general Illinois fiscal irresponsability.  His best friend and wife left for the same reason.  Both couples now live in the Asheville, NC area.

$10.9 billion in adjusted gross income left Illinois in 2021.......only to be outdone by California and NY, losing $26 billion and $16 billion respectively.  Florida and Texas are enjoying the biggest increases people and wealth moving there.

I believe it was PJ that told us that people in California are leaving for better weather.  After all, it couldn't have anything to do with taxes, crime, and homelessness.

Don't worry Libs, your policies are great!

Damn.... THIS is on your mind at 3:36am?

Absolutely, they will realize that you don't have a clue about what you're talking about.  You should read it again....slowly.
