For anyone who's wondering---life expectancies of blacks mapped out by state show an almost identical coloration to MP's overall map. I'm not going to post a link--you can do a Google search on something like "life expectancy map blacks US" and get a dozen different hits. Compare whatever you find to MP's map.

Yes, blacks have lower life expectancies than whites. But a black person in a blue state lives longer than a white person in a red state. Republicanism kills.

Since  Boilerman doesn't respond, I will go on. Check out the deep blue in Democratic Salt Lake City Utah, in the midst of all of those red Republican areas. Ditto Portland, Oregon.

Anecdotely - my sister is a pharmacist in a hospital in Grennville, NC.   Their beds are constantly full of patients suffering heart attacks and strokes....and when you see how they eat down there you can understand why.    Everything is covered with a heavy batter and deep fried.  ..even the vegetables.  

You'd think these shitkickers would at least realize the danger they're in and stop voting against their own health care.

I did respond.  I pointed out that Hispanics and Asians.........especially Asians, live longer than whites.  A shit load of these long living folks live up and down the west coast raising the life expectancy in those areas. 

Thanks for making my point about Salt Lake City people living a long time.  It's 2.5% black.  I've been there many times skiing, so that number was not a surprise.  Plus the Mormon's don't smoke, drink alcohol or coffee.  Mormon's tend to form a strong family unit, and almost always have children with two parents in the house.

It should be noted that the life expectancy in NC for whites is 78.5, while the national average for whites is 78.6.  I agree that lifestyle has a slight impact on life expectancy.  The highest state life expectancy for whites is 80.6 in California, while the lowest by far is W. Virginia at 74.8.

Yes, and you spouted nonsense. You can't avoid being a racist in everything you think and say, can you? According to Boilerthink, low-life-expectancy states are that way because they're "polluted" with black people.

The real factor that matters is health care. Red shitkicker states have low life expectancies because their governments have consistently voted and often agitated against health care improvements. They don't want to spend money to keep their constituents from getting sick and dying.

If you want to do research instead of spouting Boilerbabble, look up life expectancies in the remaining states that are still refusing to adopt the Obamacare Medicaid/Medicare expansion. I challenge you to do some actual research for a change instead of being a clueless racist.
