The Republican variant--a disease that keeps on giving

This should be a great time of celebration for Republicans. Their tireless efforts to prolong the pandemic have succeeded. It is now a certainty that we will be in the grip of the virus through the holidays, and probably much longer. Two cheers for the Republicans who have fought so long and hard against vaccinations, masking, and social distancing!

This has been an ongoing effort to make Biden look bad and whine about his presidency (and lament that their orange god isn't in the Oval Office), for which a few hundred thousand extra deaths has, in their minds, been a small price to pay. One small miscalculation on their part is that most of those deaths have been the crusty old fucks who vote for them, but hey, collateral damage.

So if you have to wear a mask this winter, if events you hoped would take place are canceled, if traveling is harder than ever, and yes, if it's difficult to find stuff on store shelves---thank the Republicans!

Oh, and David, don't forget to make some crude-pig remark and call me a liar. You can't possibly help yourself.

  kevin, you must be losing it, you forgot to blame President Trump for all of Biden and the DemocRats failed policies and the the fact that the virus is springing up all over the world.

Failed policies? Trump ended his term with the worst job creation record since Herbert Hoover.

I'm all for vacinations for those who want them.  I got my booster in late September.  I'm all for social distancing and masks for those who choose to distance and mask up.  I will never do so unless mandated, however.

I'm a risk vs reward guy, and I enjoy life maskless while in close proximity to others..............I'm a social guy.  I realize that this could put me at higher risk.  Getting into my car and driving to Dairy Queen for a Blizzard also puts me at risk.  After all, I would certainly be "safer" staying at home, but I choose to risk a car accident in return for a tasty DQ treat.

As I said in an earlier thread LAM doesnt care when democrat officials such as biden violate local mask mandates, but has a hissy fit if Republicans or conservatives do.

As was inevitable, this thread has generated a diarrheal flood of apologia for our resident conservitards' bigly orange hero's awful failures.

Trump isn't to blame for the virus. However, he IS to blame for 1) destroying America's ability to react to a pandemic, by dismantling Obama's emergency response team; 2) doing NOTHING during the critical first months of the pandemic; 3) imposing incomplete and wrong-direction travel bans based on racism rather than science; 4) making up and promulgating nonsense about the virus (bleach; it'll magically go away; etc.) and 5) devoting all of his efforts and energy to getting his orange ass reelected rather than acting as a leader should in a global crisis.

But I didn't start this thread to discuss the failures of the Orange Turd. I started it to thank Republicans for following him and killing their fellow citizens even though the Turd is no longer in power. I mean, how fucking stupid is that?
