@PJ..Reaching common ground on these assorted issues, when possible, is a worthy and lofty goal. I wish it were easier to accomplish..both here ( and among at least a higher proportion of participants in other public venues) and in DC among our so-called Congressional reps. Currently, that stated goal is not very realistic nor easily attainable, unfortunately. Yet, you can still have your say as far as I'm concerned.
@Kevin...We're seldom if ever going to agree on these policy issues, but that's OK and you're likewise free to share your opinions and stances as you see fit from my standpoint.
Besides, I just may lose the bet I made with MrPicture regarding the election outcomes, which will extricate me from the Sink forever. *l* Then you two will have one less conservative defending his personal brand of horseshit in this environment. *l*
Cheers.
Charles, maybe you've picked up on the fact that while I object to conservatism in general, on the issue of immigration, what I primarily object to is the demonization of immigrants. I think a desire to pack up everything, often at great personal risk, and find a new life here is laudable and should be celebrated. Certainly, I don't get upset if someone doesn't fill out the right forms.
