So who wants to bet on the mid-term elections?

The loser leaves this site [the Kitchen Sink] forever. I'll bet [that both must happen for me to win.]

1. That the Democrats maintain control of the Senate.

2. That the TOTAL votes received by Democratic nominees for the House exceed the TOTAL votes received by Republican nominees for the House.

Any takers?

None of our conservitards will man up and step up, because 1. seems likely and 2. is a given.

Of course, if Millerscum or any of the gang actually took your bet, and lost, they'd renege and say that the votes were fraudulent. Because, y'know, that's the only way the RepubliQ can lose an election!

You offer that potential wager as if "leaving this site forever" would represent some sort of unbearable punishment rather than a healthy choice. I assume you're specifically referring to "this site" as the Kitchen Sink. If so, I'll take your bet since it appears nobody else, thus far at least, is willing to accept what they must deem as an unacceptable amount of risk with terrible odds.  I'm understanding that BOTH the above outcomes listed have to occur, correct?

And..Cheers

Now, back to the 230+ year extension of the Hamilton vs Jefferson debate. Carry on.

So in addition to his 20 economic & 20 accounting courses, toxic Kevin claims he was a history minor. And somewhere along the line he took enough education courses to be a teacher.

I smell giant bs.

The bet is stupid because the loser will just create a new account.

Trust me, for those to whom this wager is offered, leaving this site forever would be unbearable. I think MP meant the site in its entirety, though, not just the Sink.

Hamilton vs. Jefferson was/is a valid debate between two reasonable points of view. The current debate, democracy vs. the RepubliQ, is not. You can take comfort that it won't last anything close to 230 years, though.

Your stupid comment was inevitable, I don't care what you believe about my education, and every time anyone gets near you, there are a lot worse smells than BS.

Stupid fucking Tommie-poo.

@Kevin..Well, he'll have to confirm that. I'm not wagering if I have to dump the entire LVA forums in their entirety, as I suggested. I get some enjoyment from reading some of the topics outside the Sink, on occasion.

And if you have a minor in history, you should know that Hamilton and Jefferson truly fought like cats and dogs ( particularly when they were members of Washington's cabinet in the initial administration).

I didn't say they didn't. They had fundamentally opposing views, but I think each of those views had validity. Hamilton pretty much won the war, though he lost some battles. And yeah, the "big powerful centralized government" vs. "limited decentralized government" debate rages on. The US went Hamiltonian; Canada went Jeffersonian.

I'm not betting either way, because I don't really want any of our resident conservitards to leave, any more than a skeet shooter wants to stop clay pigeons being fired into the air.

Well, I can't really argue with your first sentence.

And yeah, I'm referring to just the Sink and not the other LVA forums. I originally intended the bet to be for one proposition or the other, but what the hell, both have to come true for me to win. So we're on.

And I have a sneaky suspicion that you may be taking this bet in the hopes that YOU will waste no more time hanging around here. Maybe me too.
