Socialist Tennessee makes taxpayers pay for college

Tennessee wealth redistribution program

Tennessee makes people without college degrees pay for 2 free years of college for anyone who wants a college degree.    Somehow this was missed in all of the big "venezuela bailout" rhetoric being barfed all over  right wing media and David Miller's Facebook feed.

I can understand why Tennessee wants to increase the number of educated people who live there. Five just isn't enough.

Seriously, though, any society benefits so much from educating its citizens that its drooling inbred shitkickers should subsidize the smart folks. The goobers will greatly benefit in the long run, and they would have just spent the money on Slim Jims and lottery tickets anyway.

Another example of the sewage that constsntly flows from the anal orifice that is in the middle of "Liz" Lewis's face.

PJ, you just don't understand! Socialism only occurs when a government's economy is doing very badly. For example.

Free college in Venezuela: Socialism!!

Free college in Tennessee: NOT Socialism.

Free college in Cuba: Socialism!

Free college in Denmark. NOT socialism.

Now do you get it?

I'm beginning to see the light.    Which category does David Millers welfare checks fall into?

I've yet to hear from any conservitard just what's wrong with socialism. I mean, all the crusty old farts were indoctrinated back in the day to hate and fear THEM COMMIES, but Russia never was either socialist or communist, despite the labels they used.

And of course, we and virtually every other nation on the planet have some elements of socialism baked into our political and economic systems, and it's a good thing that we do.

For instance, free public libraries are SOOOOOCIALIST. The Interstate Highway System is SOOOOCIALIST. Free public schools are SOOOOCIALIST. Medicare is SOOOCIALIST. Shocking!

So only an ignorant asshole would use "THAT THAR'S SOCIALIST!" as some kind of insult.

The Keep Assholes Alive initiative. Of course, in David's case, he sent them straight to Trump's legal fund.

Apparently a PPP "loan" that was forgiven to MTGreene was not socialism.  Curious, is the standard:  you get money from the gov, it's socialism; I get money from the gov, it's not socialism.   Miller cashes a Social Security check every month, I guess that is not socialism?

My social security monthly check was earned by paying into social security for over 50 years.Social security was set up for individuals who paid into the program, which makes the program not socialism. --https://www.havasunews.com/opinion/bruce-warner-social-security-is-not-a-socialist-program/article_21c5f69c-42b4-11ec-a442-7343f4f1a0dd.html

Question:  Are all college loans under one umbrella?  I thought not.  Don't some come from the college, some from different grants (e.g. Pell grant), some from faith-related organizations, some from the Federal Government, any number of originating sources that the prospective student applies for a loan from?  Thus, I don't get what 'broad brush' forgiveness of a student loan is all about.  Surely some of those sources grant the loan based on the prospect of it being repaid and are counting on repayment so monies can be churned into subsequent loans for newer applicants and/or other operations?   I guess I'm dense.
