"Beer virus" was a joke. My point was, however, was the horror of him putting his ungloved finger inside of your cup. I suspect that the virus lives longer on a latex glove than it does a bare finger.
It lives longer on skin than on other surfaces, because skin is close to body temperature, the temperature in which the virus thrives.
