A refusal to considering how an economic downturn will decrease life expectancy is beyond shortsighted. It's unconscionable. We know that during the Great Depression that US life expectancy decreased over a four-year period, hitting a maximum life expectancy decrease of 4.5 years. A similar downturn today would lead to about 2.8 million premature deaths. I’ve read no discussion of this subject.
I did the research myself with data that is readily available.
You have a habit of doing research without showing it. I'd love to see it.
And if economic consequences are your main thing...you should be critical of a government whose economy and health response trail the rest of the free industrialized world.

Rightk, we'd have to bomb half the archives. No, they'll stay up. It's not the opinions or content in general that's at issue -- the Kitchen Sink is meant to be edgier and there's more latitude here. It's the foul language, name calling, and threats that can't be allowed.
