Because your thought processes are so primitive, I'm guessing that you're making some kind of stupid point about SOOOOCIALISM.

Sweden has had more infections than its neighbors (on a per capita basis) because they've never instituted a lockdown order. End of story.

I argued for no US lockdown from the beginning.  We'd have been almost done with the viris today, and tens of millions of middle class and poor people would still be gainfully employed.  Government would not have given away $8,000,000,000,000, to the tune of $100,000 per federal tax payer.  Some on this site support saddling America's children with this debt.

Sweden admits to making some mistakes with their approach - especially in regards to not locking down the elderly enough.   But otherwise they have largely kept the virus in check and not overwhelmed their healthcare system.    They have more cases per capita than their neighbors - but that was an expected development.    They have not had a NYC level emergency with a burnt out staff trying to treat too many patients.

They are going balls out for herd immunity.     I suspect thats what we will ultimately do as well.    They will get their more quickly but probably with more deaths per cap.    But their economy has largely been unfazed too.

THey drew the line in a different place than we did.    I'm not sure I would be bold enough to say who approached it better.    I will say this -its been a couple weeks now since states started reopening.    The social distancing / masks / and elderly lockdown seem to be keeping new cases in check.     Perhaps had we just done that from the beginning we could have avoided the worst of it.   But hindsight is 20/20

They examined the data, consulted scientists, debated the issue, and decided on a course of action.

Trump fired a bunch of people and scurried off to play golf.

We won't know for a while whether Sweden's approach was best, but we do know that so far, the Trump approach has cost approximately 40,000 additional deaths.

How could have Swenden listened to the same experts that Kevin supported?  Nope, they took what was considered a radical stance across the World, a stance that Kevin assured us was radical, and they are winning.
