The tan suit police weigh in on Biden's first 100 days

A Summary of Biden's first 100 days as reported on the QaNon News network

Just a few of the big scandals of Joe Biden

- He didn't acknowledge Dr Seuss's birthday

- He placed a bust of Rosa Parks in the White House

- He read his remarks from cue cards

- He doesnt go to church enough

- He plans on limiting your meat consumption

- He couldn't get his pen into his pocket on the first try

- He called Vice President Harris "President Harris"

- He wears a mask even though he's been vaccinated

- He issued exectuive orders (not objections to the substance of the orders - just objecting he issued them)

Damn !   Thats rough.

It's actually been kind of funny seeing them desperately scrabbling for some reason to attack Biden. It's like watching clowns stuck in the middle of a frozen pond.

All of the RepubliQ horsecrap aside, it looks like Biden is going to be blocked by his own party in passing his relief bills. Then, because the Census cost the Democrats five House seats (net loss), the House will turn RepuliQ again in two years. So much for getting anything done.

So maybe Biden can get a few crumbs from the RepubliQs, but otherwise, there won't be any more help coming from the American government. Those who got screwed by the pandemic will remain screwed. Conservatives like it that way--since they're not the ones being affected.

Kevin Lewis opines: " . . . Then, because the Census cost the Democrats five House seats (net loss), the House will turn RepuliQ (sic)again in two years."

As Kevin Lewis suggests: "Six states will gain seats in the House of Representatives. Colorado, Florida, Montana, North Carolina and Oregon will pick up one seat each, while Texas will pick up two. Those seven new seats will be balanced by California, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, which will each lose one House seat."

So lemme see here, . . . . what the heck is going on ? ? ?

Hmm, . . . poor old DonDiego figured it out !

What's happening is citizens are leaving States governed by Democrat majorities - especially the BIG majorities in the BIG States, and moving into States governed by Republicans, . . . presumedly in search of a happier or more productive or generally better life.

Hmm, . . . what could "happier, more productive, and better lives" possibly have to do with the political-leanings of the government of a State ? ? ?

Or, specifically, why would a family choose to move from, say, Illinois to, f'rinstance, Texas ? ? ?

It's a puzzlement.

I think Don Diego is larping here.  For instance how many folks are moving into Mississippi, Alabama, West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio and so on? These are some of the most conservative states in the nation. I am all for people moving into Texas, North Carolina and so on because the people that are moving to those places are taking their liberal beliefs to those states and making them trend blue.

DonDiego repeats one of the most common and at the same time, factually incorrect mantras so loved by the Fox News and RepubliQ gang.

The reality is that people aren't leaving Democratic states as a net effect. Yes, some people leave--but more people arrive. California, etc.'s population is still growing; it just isn't growing as rapidly as it used to. Therefore, it doesn't have quite the same proportion of the overall population as it did in the prior Census period. Its population did grow by 6.1% in the last decade--so much for the Mother Tucker dogshit about "people fleeing California."

What DonDiego and his ilk may not want to acknowledge is that these demographic shifts aren't due to people fleeing those horrible horrible hotbeds of liberalism; they're due to many apolitical factors, such as an aging population and a shift from a manufacturing to an information economy. DonDiego asks, why would a family choose to move from Illinois to Texas? Many possible reasons: 1. They want to move someplace where Black and Brown people aren't treated like human beings (that's so wrong); 2. The weather in Illinois just isn't shitty enough for them; 3. They find power outages exciting; 4. The husband has a pickup truck and cowboy hat fetish; 5. They're simply fuckin' nuts.

But if you want to talk about people "fleeing" states of a given political persuasion, look at West Virginia, a very very very very very dead-red Trumper state (Joe Manchin notwithstanding)--it lost 3.2% of its population. Maybe living among the inbred, bucktoothed MAGA Moron crowd results in a diminished quality of life. (Mississippi and Illinois lost 0.2% and 0.1%, respectively; every other state experienced positive growth.)

Oh Donny, so sad to see your mental faculties deteriorating so much.  You apparently had some mental sharpness at one time; at least you used to tell us--repeatedly!!--of your academic and career accomplishments.  Now you commit two of the most elementary logical fallacies in an oh so brief period.   In a matter of one paragraph you confuse coincidence with cause, then compound it with a full weight jump into confirmation bias.  Such weakness of mind are not tolerated in any academic setting, and should not be acceptable among reasonably intelligent adults.  Sad.

All these sudden moves from one state to another.  Maybe some prefer warmer weather, tired of fires and earthquakes.

In some states people just didn't bother to participate in the Census (upper case C).  In my area there was a continuous push...TV, online, newspaper, door to door canvasing etc. begging everyone to take the census.  You could sign up to be a paid canvasser, which I read was not the easiest task...doors slammed in the face, bad neighborhood, chased away by the family dog, etc.   Why?  Illegal status, outstanding warrants, not wanting to lose welfare benefits for certain reasons, plenty of reasons.

Honesly I might not have bothered with it except it came in an easy form to complete online.

As far as I know the state didn't gain or lose.

Did everybody here complete your Census?

Candy

The "work from home" dynamic is having a legitimate impact..as is the Republican SALT tax policy that punished blue states.

Previously if you wanted a good paying tech job you had to live in states that invested in education and infrastructue....which is why Silicon Valley was in California and not Arkansas.   But now those people can live anywhere.   No doubt many will choose somewhere that is taxed less with better weather.     They already got their degree so they dont have to rely on the third world education system of Florida.

All those highly educated, open-minded, diverse populations result in those "undesirable" demographics DonDIego is always belly-aching about.   Its also what is making Georgia, Arizona, and soon Texas to be out of the shitkicker caucus they're used to.

Oh - and just an additonal editorial....Texas was historically tax-cheap primarily because real estate was cheap there.   Thats no longer the case.   Decent neighborhoods in Dalls, Ft Worth and Austin will require you to cough up 350K or more for a house.   And that's an issue because low-tax Texas has some of the highest property tax rates in the country (about double the national average).

It wont be long before Texas struggles with the same real estate issues California did for years which culminated in DonDiego's favorite stories about people shitting in the streets.

Something tells me he wont be blaming the Texas government when that happens.

Like you, I completed mine online. Ridiculously easy, took about three minutes.

I don't think anyone is entitled to bitch about a lack of government services if they didn't complete the Census form. I also don't think the RepubliQs are entitled to bitch about all them IMMERGENTS when they actively discourage people from participating. This time around, they spread the utterly false narrative that only US citizens could/should be counted. Of course, if that happens, you have an underserved population.

The general trend is a slow mass migration to the so-called "Sun Belt." Also, Idaho/Nevada/Utah/Arizona are gaining population as people flee high costs of living on the West Coast. It's a push-pull kind of effect. As those states turn purple and then blue, the prospect of living there becomes less nauseating; more sane (non-RepubliQ) people arrive, which makes it more tolerable still---like a feedback loop. Idaho and Utah will remain RepubliQ for the foreseeable future, but Arizona and Nevada are pretty much irreversibly blue now.

The mostly-dead crowd (aka "retirees") will be stuffing Florida, etc. for at least another decade or so, but no one with any sense moves to Florida for the weather--more like despite the weather. You want an authentic Florida experience? Soak a blanket in hot water and drape it over your head.
