Texas sheriff launching investigation into Desantis Martha's Vineyard stunt

Nowhere in the brochure does it promise jobs or cash.  It lists services available in Mass.

From the brochure:

"Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA)

Provides up to 8 months of cash assistance for income-eligible refugees without dependent children who reside in Massachusetts."

Tom depends on conservative opinion sites to get the news.  That is why he often gets basic facts wrong.

The RCA program is a legit program. Why is it a problem to publicize it?

Because these migrants did not qualify that program. And they weren't merely promoting it.  They were intentionally misrepresenting the program as an inducement to get them on the plane. They also passed it off as something that was official from the state of Massachusetts, which we know it wasn't.  Lock em up. Tom

Is it legal for the Governor of Florida to give the migrants official looking Massachusetts RCA  brochures printed in Florida?

My guess is no.

The Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) program helps eligible refugees and other humanitarian immigrants by providing cash assistance for up to eight months from their arrival date in the United States (or from the date of their immigration status for asylees or victims of trafficking). RCA is for eligible people who do not have minor children

Why are they not eligible?

Is it legal for the Governor of Florida to give the migrants official looking Massachusetts RCA brochures printed in Florida? My guess is no.

Why?

Its pretty simple, Tom. 

If the migrants arent getting the money (they arent) but were promised they would  (they were)  then the people making that promise lied.   And if they were making those false promises on behalf of instituions they dont represent - thats called fraud.   And thats a felony.     

Time to change the topic to black people in Chicago.
