This Rolling Stone piece hits the nail on the head. Deficits only matter when Democrats are the President

National debt has soared under Trump. Yes, it matters | Rolling Stone

"Politically, though, they're kind of a bummer, which is why you hear Republicans rediscovering their fiscal conservative bona fides whenever they're out of power.

We have learned this lesson over and over again, so say it with me and never forget it: Republicans only give a damn about deficits when a Democrat is president."

"The Tea Party movement, which succeeded George W. Bush's big-government conservatism, railed against Barack Obama after he had inherited an economy in free fall. Obama actually cut the deficit in half and grew the economy by a far larger margin than his predecessor."

Then Trump inherited the successful Obama economy and claimed credit for it, and, of course, MAGA instantly went from thinking the economy was awful to thinking it was great. Much like they discovered the existence of bird flu on January 20, 2025, they had been completely unaware of its existence during the Biden Administration.

From Google today -- Rolling Stone magazine is widely recognized as a left-leaning publication with a consistent liberal or progressive bias in its political coverage. Founded in 1967, it has evolved from a music publication into a prominent source for liberal political analysis, often supporting Democratic candidates and causes while criticizing conservative figures ----  And this rag is one of YOUR sources of information?

Shame on you, Max !

Your source isnt valid.

Dont you have an AI generated meme from Facebook that falsely quotes President Reagan like shortbus David offers up?

Where was your "source" and "message" during 2020 and 2024?

Davey Dog whips out his tiny dick and starts wagging it to the tune of his old standard, the "What About Biden??" dance.

He asks where Rolling Stone magazine was in 2020 and 2024. It was where it is now. He asks where its message was. Its message was in Rolling Stone magazine.

Sometimes, you have to explain things slowly and carefully to a child.

It was political grandstanding and completely ineffective.

Right in line with how the article describes Republican fiscal policy.

Because we know how to read a graph and understand basic arithmetic.

Tom says he is a big spending hawk when he supports adding another trillion to our military spending....but dont worry - DOGE cut funding for PBS and foriegn aid to Haiti - so it all works out..

Go back to crying about golf.   You have more street cred there.
