Title 9 ridiculous policy

College sports has indeed become a money machine. That's not what it's for. Women were afforded few opportunities because their games didn't generate revenue.

That was fundamentally wrong. It has led to an environment where college football coaches make ten times what tenured professors do.

College sports are AMATEUR sports. But they've mutated into professional sports in all but name. They're supposedly cash generators. BUT...

Anyone know how many NCAA athletic programs nationwide generate a net profit?

NINE.

So it's all about the money, all right. When I attended college, the athletic department sucked up so much money that our annual tuition was $2000 higher because of it. I know. I looked at the balance sheets.

Kevin, that data isn't on a balance sheet.  Never trust a lyin' Lib.

You would think someone who has claimed to be an accountant that he would know that.

the majority of colleges and universities in the US are PUBLIC--state colleges and universities and community colleges.

And yet another kevin lie.  There are 5,300 colleges & universities in the US & 1,600 of them are public.

Lewis conveniently misses the reality of the fact that colleges, while being places to receive higher education, are businesses. Sports, especially Men's sports, generate tremendous amounts of money while women's sports do not. As a business, colleges concentrated upon utilizing men's sports to generate money, which makes a lot of sense. Women's sports do not generate much money and actually are a financial drain to  colleges - they frequently cost more than they are worth. Right or wrong, that is the way businesses function. In reality, college tuition costs have esculated because of the amount of money paid to college administrators and teachers, and because of the retirement packages these people receive. That is the reality.

Purdue's greatest president ever is the current Mitch Daniels.  He's the guy who first balanced the Indiana State govenment budet as governor many years ago.

One day one when Mitch became president at Purdue about a decade ago, he froze tuition.  It hasn't increased a penny over the past decade.  He also lowered room and board a decade ago by 5%, and it hasn't increase a penny since.  When Mitch announced his student cost plan, the states Liberals lost their tiny little minds.  The sky was going to fall................yet it didn't.

Purdue has more students under Mitch and a better caliber of student under Mitch.  Research dollars have dramatically increased.  All employees have gotten the type of raises as expected prior to Mitch.  Plenty of new construction, including the new $110 million vet school facility that my college room mate was project director on.  He gave me a private tour before the recent Purdue baseball game we attended.

What was Mitch's trick?  Nothing..........it wasn't tricky at all.  There is so much waste at big schools that have traditionally been run be pussy Libs who lack the balls to fix the wasteful ways.  No one's bitching about Mitch Danials and his job at Purdue today.  The Libs hate him now for his success, but they keep their mouths shut.

Exactly.  Kevin claims that because I believe that this policy is stupid that I hate women, that I'm racist, and that I'm homophobic.

90% of WNBA teams have lost money each and every year the past decade.  I assume that they continue to be subsidized by NBA owners so these owners look PC to the sissy, lacking for balls, Liberals.  Even a few of these pussies watch sports.

Boiler, O expert on collegiate sports...I should tell you that the WNBA isn't a college sports league.

And yes, you are indeed a misogynist, a racist, and a homophobe. But your worst feature is...lord, you're stupid.

Hey, let's look at stupid Tommie-poo's "source" to check its accuracy!

"Out of the 5,300 institutions in the USA, there are 1,626 public colleges, 1,687 private nonprofit schools, and 985 for-profit schools."

Anyone notice that whoever wrote that article can't add? There are also several childish grammar errors, indicating that whoever wrote this screed has no idea what he's talking about. But that's how stupid Tommie-poo rolls: he goes frantically casting about the interblab for something that appears to support his preconceived notions, then he seizes on it, usually not even actually reading it.

Stupid Tommie-poo.

And if Boiler or Tommie-poo had ever gone near a college or university, they would know that it's mandatory in every state for such institutions to disclose their financial records. I got the information I needed by making one phone call.

Stupid, stupid Tommie-poo.

Kevin, you forgot to to tell the lie that I'm a Nazi lover.

I don't have time to list all of your faults in every single post. We know what you are.

Kevin, why does the Purdue women's softball team fly to games in the private jet, while the baseball team flies on a bus?  Why are baseball players being discriminated against in favor of women?

What did those poor baseball players do to be treated so poorly.............other than being men?  Kevin obviously supports such discrimination again male baseball players, and why is that?

I don't know why they do things in conservitard land. But I'm sure your "private jat" bleat is bullshit. They might charter a jet for long trips, which isn't the same thing at all.

The men's team may be considerably larger than the women's team. The women's team may have to travel longer distances than the men to play opponents at an equal skill level. There are all sorts of perfectly valid possible reasons. But you'd rather bleat than actually think about it.

The Purdue athletic department owns it's own planes.  They both play at the same locations, since they both play big ten teams.  Each team has the same amount of personel.  Kevin, you likely don't know, but softball and baseball teams each have nine starters.

Kevin, why are the baseball players not getting the same treatment as the women's softball team?  I know why.  It's because of the fucking stupid Title 9.  It mandates discrimination against the low revenue men's sports.

The next thing you know, Kevin will tell us that he found college athletic budget information on a balance sheet.  Wait......he already told is that lie.
