Flights to China were suspended, people came in from China via other countries. So what's your point?
The US mortality & infection rate per million of population is lower than many other countries. So does that make those leaders incompetent?
If China had been upfront about this problem, we would not be in this situation.
One more note. Italy sent PPE material to China @ no charge. China is now SELLING that material back to China.

LOL! Tom, we still aren't testing people because we don't have enough tests. A hell of a lot of people are dying with their cause of death listed as a heart attack or pneumonia because they never got a test. Our official mortality rate is just over 3%.
If Trump would have got off his fat ass and did something for the first two months, we wouldn't be in this boat. Instead, he pretended it wasn't a problem. China could have told him a month earlier but it wouldn't have made a damn bit of difference because he still would have sat on his fat ass.
This is the largest failure in the history of the United States and it is all on Trump.

After being pressured they finally allowed private tests.

We do indeed hate and loathe Trump, but not because of politics. I personally admired McCain, Dole and Reagan--and admire Romney. They had principles.
But we hate Trump because of all the damage he's caused and the oceans of blood on his hands. And so should anyone else with a conscience and a moral center.

Trump is the chief executive of the nation. If a federal agency fails, it's his fault. Period. "The buck stops here.'
Math lesson: even at 100,000 tests a day, it would still take almost three years to test everyone. So, big fuckin' deal.
