But...their pricing strategies will ultimately drive customers away, which will destroy profits. The unusual conditions of the last couple of years have given them carte blanche to gouge, but they won't persist. Vegas will have to offer affordable options. The trouble is, the people who have come here and been wallet-raped and poorly served will remember, and they'll never be back.

I'm reminded of a Vegas casino owner's statement that you could shear the sheep over and over, but you can only slaughter them once.

Oh, and I do indeed have contempt for the dodos who come to Vegas and pay these insane prices, then they go home and bitch about inflation.

So Kevin suddenly hates the products that he can't afford because it's a bad business model?  I think not.

Kevin's claim is another example why one should never trust a Lyin' Liberal.  Anyone who has been on Kitchen Sink for even a short time knows why Kevin hates any company which makes money or provides products/service that he can't afford.  It ain't because he's worried about their business model.

Well, Boiler, as much as you LUVVV straw man arguments, I can afford the current prices. I just don't want to pay them.

And as far as their business model goes, I don't give a shit if they succeed or fail. I was simply pointing out that what they're doing is bad strategy. There aren't enough suckers like you out there who'll pay any price.

Have fun, Jerry.  Where are you staying?

Southpoint

Kevin, Vegas has never been cheaper for me.

RT airfare $179

Thur, Friday and Saturday night at the Four Queens in their premiem king for only $120 all in.

Shuttle from the airport to downtown $15

My only remaining delima is should I spend $60 a night all in to stay at the Bellagio the next two nights?

You have spiffs from previous visits. I was referring to prices overall, without the discounts you're getting. For that matter, I can stay at the 4Q for a week for $168 total. But somebody just booking a room would be paying over $800--far more than the same time last year.

To answer your question about the Bellagio, no, I wouldn't stay there. You're stranded on the worst part of the Strip, with absolutely no decent gambling options and vastly overpriced food.
