And yesterday it was reported that after sicentifc study, Covid-19 attacks the vascular system leaving even those with mild cases severe lifelong damage.

We could have reopened without signficat consequence if Trump had done something other than sit on his ass and pretend the problem didn't exist. 

I'm not happy about it.  Trump should be pushing even harder to reopen the economy.  The same economy that most Liberals on this site believe should stay closed.

As I said to Tom, if Trump would have taken action sooner we could have had a much better outcome. Right now cases are spiking in Texas, Wisconsin, Florida, Mississippi and in a few other states because they opened too soon.

Anyway, Trump is more interested in starting a civil war with the militarily occupying large cities.  He knows he is screwed on the economy so he will cause as much damage as he can to further divide people.

Cases are holding steady at about 20k, even though testing & openings are up significantly 

House arrest was originally intended to stabilize hospitalizations & emergency room use. 

If the Tri-state area had the same infection & mortality rate as Florida it would have almost 500,000 less cases & about 35,000 less deaths. Instead we have have Cuomo/DeBlasio incompetence. 

If the democratic governors & mayors open up, unemployment will go down.

How exactly did Trump screw the economy?

Here is US corona deaths by day.  I would not count the past week, as not all numbers are reported.  You can get a feel how things are going by this chart, but I can tell by looking at it the data that some states are not recording the deaths on the exact day that the death occurs.  All of the low spots are one week apart, as fewer deaths are reported on those day.  Indiana goes back and puts the death on the chart of the actual day of death.  Many do not, which is sloppy.  For example, look at the huge spike, caused by the idiots from New York we were too sloppy and lazy to place the deaths on the correct day.  If we want an accurate picture of what's happening, the data needed to be accurately recored.
