How he screwed up the economy, though, since you asked, was his huge tax break for the rich and big corporations that created a huge federal deficit, his stupid-ass tariffs that crippled entire business sectors, and his two months of thumb-up-his-ass during the early stages of the pandemic, which made a bad situation much, much worse--and crippled the economy.

But we've debated all that before, and you were a stupid, loyal Trump lackey then, so I'm not going to debate it with you again now.

The distinction between what I said and what you asked is an important one. I was trying to convey the point in a politically neutral way. The President always gets blamed for the economy when it is bad rightly or wrongly.  Prior to the pandemic (which Trump made worse), Trump was counting on a strong economy as his number one selling point in his argument for reelection. Now he doesn't have that argument and given past history voters will likely punish him for a 27% unemployment rate. This is what I meant by him being screwed on the economy.

And there is not enough time to turn it around before the election even if it all goes away like a miracle as Trump hopes.  This is why he has opted to go full-blown Nazi.
