Trump Refused To Let White House Issue A Statement Honoring McCain

Unfortunately, the flag codes (like many other things) have been hijacked along the way, e.g. when famous entertainers, social movers and shakers, etc. die.

Misuse of flag codes detract from the solemnity due the deceased as provided for in the code.

For the record I greatly respect Senator McCain.   I am touched by his final address to the public.

Bump.

trump is still the petty POS.

The sad part is John McCain, yea the war hero that didn't hide in a bunker, is everything the village idiot wants to be but never will be.

Of COURSE Trump didn't say anything respectful about John Lewis. That would have shown a bit of class and decency, and scumbag traitor Trump has not an ounce of either.

Apparently since the President did not comment the moment Lewis died, that was enough for you assholes to go on another rampage. He responded and the flags were lowered.

1. John Lewis died.

2. Trump tweeted a bunch of stupid shit, attacking Biden, his former security advisor, and his niece.

3. He then ran off to play golf with Lindsey Graham.

4. 14 hours after 1., above, Trump spewed a two-sentence tweet about Lewis--and that tweet had a stupid grammatical error, indicating that he'd put no thought or care into it: "Saddened to hear the news of civil rights hero John Lewis passing. Melania and I send our prayers to he and his family."

The time lag strongly suggests that he knew about Lewis's death and only bothered to even acknowledge it at the urging of his White House lackeys.
