No, they have not. They changed the wording of it to say groups like The People Of Praise rather than saying just the People of Paise. It is in the footnotes of the article. I linked to the current version in my post.
Well, you didn't have to become uncivil just because I returned, did you? Or is it that in Woodpecker World, calling someone "a pathetic ass" is CIVIL?????
God, what filthy hypocrisy. Just like your hero, Moscow Mitch!

That's a lie, Tom. They haven't. I checked. You're lying.
That was not what I was referring to, and even you---even you---EVEN YOU---understand that perfectly, even if you pretend otherwise.
I frequently phrase things very slowly and clearly, when I want to make sure that even the slowest student in my class understands a concept. I apologize if that wasn't enough for you this time--but I think it was.
The original Newsweek story said the Handsmaid Tale was based on People of Praise.
They have since retracted that story. Big difference.
If the congressional islamists religion isn't a factor, then Barrett's religion shouldn't be a factor.

Let me explain to you the difference, Tom.
A legislator's religion doesn't matter--IF that legislator doesn't make his or her decisions based on his/her religion. Omar--the Muslim congresswoman whom you HATE HATE HATE--has not voted on or crafted legislation based on her religious beliefs.
Trump's Nazi girl, however, has said explicitly many times that her rulings have been and will be based on her personal religious doctrine. She belongs to a fanatic cult. That's beyond dispute.
If Barrett would set aside her religious beliefs and consider only the law and the Constitution when ruling on cases, there would be no problem. But she has explicitly told us that she will do no such thing.
We'll know alot by Inauguration Day.
I predict the Affordable Care Act will stand. Republicans dont have an alternative and dont really want to kill consumer protections surrounding pre-existing conditions. If they do they can kiss the next midterm election goodbye too. And even the Heritage FOundation caucus on the Supreme Court gets that. They'll bail out Republicans from their self-destructive case. And if not? Great. More votes for Dems going forward resulting in an even better plan.
And here's my newsflash for fellow liberals: Roe-v-Wade is already dead. Red States have figured out how to circumvent it and effectively make access to abortion unavailbale for all or most of their populations. There are now states with no clinics or just a single digit number of them.
Well, PJ, I wish I was as optimistic as you about the ACA's survival, and I agree with you that it would to political suicide for the GOP to destroy it. But they've already doomed their party with their unquestioning fealty to Trump the traitorous, evil, stupid, amoral scumbag. I think they'll say "what the hell" and try to inflict as much damage on this country as they can before they lose their grip on power. They've already shown, with only a very few exceptions, that they're much more willing to double down on their Trump-love than obey the law or exhibit any ethics or morality. So they'll continue their sacred crusade against the ACA, and for several months, 20 million Americans will have no health care, and thousands will die. But when have Republicans cared about deaths?
I do agree that Roe v. Wade has already been essentially destroyed. The situation is now, and will still be if Roe is repealed, that if a woman lives in a red shithole state, she has to travel to get an abortion. Gotta keep them uppity wimmenfolk underfoot y'know.
It is after 9am in Kevin's make believe school.
Shouldn't Kevin be teaching now?
