PJ, I disagree with you. The conservatives on the Supreme Court won't care there isn't an alternative.  In fact, it will be a bonus for them. They would see it as four years of guaranteed anarchy during the Biden Presidency.

Once they rule against the ACA, the problem becomes getting any healthcare plan through the court. They will effectively veto every plan.  The public will see it as Biden and the Democratic Party's fault that they can't fix the health care system the conservatives broke. 

The only way to have even a low functioning healthcare system is to unpack the Supreme Court by adding more justices. If you don't do that first, forget about any healthcare plan and women's reportative rights. 

Kavanaugh and Nazi Girl (assuming she's appointed), can be impeached, and that would remove the necessity to expand the court. The Democrats will have a supermajority in the House and the Senate as early as 2022. Until then, the House, Senate, and Biden can simply pass a newly worded version of the ACA and Roe v. Wade. This is where the Republican focus on the minutae rather than the overall substance of those laws will come back to bite them on the ass.

We have to look on these dark Trump times as ultimately an opportunity. Much like WWII opened the door for social democracy in Europe, the Trump disaster will enable total Democratic control of our government, reducing the Republicans to sitting in the corner and sucking their thumbs. We'll make sure that what happened in 2016 can never happen again by abolishing the Electoral College, among other badly needed reforms. We can address climate change on a national scale and FINALLY implement universal health care, FREE FOR ALL. And we'll bleed Republican billionaires dry to pay for it!

I can't wait. November 3 will be like V-E Day. We'll finally beat the Nazis Part 2!

I dont think it matters.   Nobody is going to point a finger at Democrats if the ACA is turned over.  If that were to happen I think most Republicans would sprint to help Democrats replace the ACA with essentially the same thing in short order.

This has never been about policy.   Its been about partisan bullshit.   NAFTA same thing.    Republicans tore it down and put it right back up with a new name.   

Regarding the ACA - They cant stand Obama passed a major law..     If they can just tear his name off it they'll be happy.   Sad but thats how they roll.   Either way I dont see us going back to the pre-2009 trainwreck.    I doubt Marco Rubio wants to run for reelction in 2022 with the Medicare donut hole ripped back open thanks to his party.

After 3-4 years of a non-functioning healthcare system, they will. Not for it being overturned but for Democrats not being able to get a new plan through the courts. And it doesn't matter if a handful of Republicans are willing to go along with a new healthcare plan.  The regressive conservatives on the court will find a way to disqualify any plan put forth. The only thing the Republican party cares about is the acquisition of power. They don't care how many have to die or suffer to achieve it. The court invalidating the plans gives elected Republicans cover to do nothing. 

There is a reason the conservatives on the court wanted to hear the case after the election.  They didn't want Trump to feel any heat when they ruled against it. And once the conservatives establish precedent it really complicates things. At that point, the ACA cannot simply be rebranded or tinkered with.  For instance, if in the ruling the conservative justices say the mandate itself is unconstitutional, then how do you structure a new system? 

Universal health care. Period. Free. Period. Paid for by flipping conservatives over on their stomachs and rogering them until they squeal. Period.

The Republiholes will wish they had let the ACA alone. Now, ALL them darkies and Messkins and inferior poor people will get health care. An outcome so horrifying, it will cause mass conservative suicides.

You guys are full of laughs tonight.  Biden is 10 points ahead in the polls. Despite what was said by some of you earlier, Hillary only had a 2 point lead going into the first debate.  

Plus, you have Biden ahead in states like Ohio which wasn't even supposed to be competitive.
