Tulsaaaaa...if I can make it there, I can make it anywhere

That's typical Tom. This thread is not about the protests. It is about Trump's hate rally today and the dangers it poses. It's not hypocrisy to not mention the anti-racism protests, becuase this thread is not about those protests. DUH!

Here, Tom, is the difference between the two events. The protests have a purpose and a reason. The protestors choose to undergo the danger, because they feel it is vital to protest against systemic racism in the light of recent tragic events.

Trump, on the other hand, has no purpose or reason for this hate rally other than personal gratification. It won't help him in the election. He's jerking off his base, and that's all he cares about. The deaths that result from this event will be for nothing.

In Tulsa people are showing up to support the president. You may not agree with them, but that is their right.

Back to the original question if going to Tulsa is unhealthy, what makes the protests/riots healthy & why aren't you creating threads about them?

What it comes down to is that Kevin believes in free speech only for causes he believes in. If he doesn't believe in it people need to stay in their rooms & be quiet.

Cjen did a great job answering your question a few posts back.

Actually it has been a mixed bag of masks/no masks. Of course wearing a mask while looting & throwing bricks is helpful.

In any case even with a mask people are supposed to social distance.

Kinda hard to do indoors at a trump rally.

That was never "the original question." You're just obsessing over it. There's a difference. I'll start threads about whatever I choose, not seeking your permission one way or the other.

I have never said that the protests were "healthy." I said that unlike Trump's hate rally, the protests had a legitimate purpose and might have been worth the danger--to the participants, at least.

Don't presume to say what I believe and don't believe. You're not capable of understanding that, and you make yourself even more of a fool when you try.

The MAGA morons have every right to express their sordid opinions. It's a pointless exercise, but we are all allowed to do pointless things if we wish. However, that can be curtailed if we endanger others by doing so.

The hate rally will be held inside a confined, crowded indoor space. The protests have been held outdoors. The former is obviously far more dangerous. So your implied comparison is silly.

Update: the Tulsa cops have decided to make themselves Trump's privately owned security force.

A woman who was sitting in the plaza outside the hate rally venue was dragged away by the police and charged with "obstruction"---her actual "crime" was that she was wearing a "Black Lives Matter" T-shirt and having purchased a ticket, she planned to attend the rally.

Literally thousands of Trump supporters did and are continuing to do exactly what she did and haven't been harrassed or arrested.
