Twitter Smacks Trump For Glorifying Violence

No more tiny link with a fact check. The snuffed out Donnie's thuggish tweet altogether this time.

Here is what the President tweetedTwitter censored a tweet from President Donald Trump on Thursday night where the president expressed anger at rioters in Minneapolis who were “dishonoring the memory of George Floyd” and warning that “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.” Trump’s remarks, said Twitter, were “glorifying violence.”

“I can’t stand back & watch this happen to a great American City, Minneapolis. A total lack of leadership. Either the very weak Radical Left Mayor, Jacob Frey, get his act together and bring the City under control, or I will send in the National Guard & get the job done right,” Trump tweeted. “These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!”

So what bothers Trump is not the brutal murder of an unarmed black man by the police, but the riot started by them uppity darkies.

Typical.

Trump without Twitter is like a toddler without his rattle. I can almost hear the screaming in the Oval Orifice from here.

Poor old DonDiego opposes inappropriate behavior by the police, especially murder, if indeed it is murder.

Poor old DonDiego also opposes riots started by "uppity darkies" [Kevin Lewis's choice of words; poor old DonDiego would prefer something like: "enraged citizens ".]

Where does Kevin Lewis stand with regard to the rioters?

Are you talking about the police rioters who fired tear gas and rubber bullets at peaceful protesters or some of the protesters who were assaulted who later rioted? Please be specific.

Mister Picture inquires: "Are you talking about the police rioters who fired tear gas and rubber bullets at peaceful protesters or some of the protesters who were assaulted who later rioted? Please be specific."

Poor old DonDiego is talking about the the protestors whom Mister Picture identifies as being "assaulted (by the police)" and subsequently rioted, . . .  and looted stores, . . .  and set buildings on fire..

I defer to a superior intellect and moral leader on the subject:

So, . . . . . does this mean Mister Picture opines the rioting, looting, and arson is justified ?

[Poor old DonDiego opposes rioting, looting, and arson, . . . with the posssible exception of a justifiable actual revolution.  He presently opines a revolution is not necessary.]

I think that rioters, looters, and arsonists should be prosecuted.

I think police officers who took part in the gassing and shooting rubber bullets at peaceful protesters should be prosecuted. The "I was only following orders" defense became defunct in about 1946.
