I'll answer this too. I think the rioters should be arrested and given their day in court. It is a shame the police handled the initially peaceful protests so violently and thuggishly. In addition to the atrocities MisterPicture mentioned, there was an undercover police officer caught on camera yesterday breaking windows in stores as the protesters walked by trying to encourage the real protestors to break windows and loot. The idea being they would arrest those protesters later.
I think that the officer in question as well any other officers involved in that operation including any departmental officials that authorized that operation should immediately be suspended from the force, arrested and given their day in court. I think the officers including their superiors that shot the rubber bullets and caused mayhem at the peaceful protests a few days ago should be immediately be suspended, arrested and given their day in court. I think the officers that arrested the CNN reporters during a live broadcast tonight should be immediately suspended, arrested and given their day in court. I suspect Don Diego doesn't agree with arresting any of these criminals.
If Minnesota has an applicable statute that deals with inciting a riot an arrest warrant should be issued for Donald J. Trump. He should be arrested and given his in court after he leaves office. I suspect Don Diego disagrees.
What people are upset about is the disparity in treatment. People peacefully protesting police violence including murder are met with rubber bullets, tear gas, and water hoses. Armed people showing up at the governer's mansion dressed in Nazi and White Nationalist gear chanting they are there to depose and execute the governor because they can't get a haircut are treated with kid gloves.
A black man is summarily executed for public drunkenness while armed white conservatives that threaten elected officials are practically fellaciated by the officers on the scene.
The riots are a symptom of the conservative and white nationalist corruption of both state and federal law enforcement over the last decade.
