Unemployment!

More than half the people who left the workforce retired.   And since their generation is larger than the one that comes after it we have a hole thats not easy to fill with our current population size.   We now have more jobs than people to fill them....which has made wages go up.

And it also begs the question as to why we aren't allowing potential workers applyind for assylum at the border to filll much needed labor positions.

I think it has something to do with Tucker and Tom worrying about white America being replaced by scary foreigners who speak some other language.

PJ, I used to discount the fear and hatred that the old white boy right had for THEM GOL-DURN FURRINERS. I thought, how can anybody be afraid of somebody harvesting apples or cleaning a hotel room? But then I realized--those people AIN'T WHITE. And therefore, they aren't human, according to conservitard RepubliQ dogma. And our white boys are sooooo...verrrrry...AFRAID of them!

I've noted deafening silence from our conservative scum regarding the fact that we have real wage growth for the first time in over thirty years. If that was happening while Trump was President, they'd be screaming in orgasmic ecstasy and telling us that he was the bigliest bestest President ever.

Of course, I sometimes forget: Biden bad, Trump good. No matter what we're talking about, including identical events. Such as stock market up (Trump) good, stock market up (Biden) bad.

More than half the people who left the workforce retired - Proof?

There are more to govt handouts than unemployment.  There is welfare, medicaid, food stamps & housing assistance.

I love it when Mr "80 trillion dollar Green New Deal"  demand other posters show their work.

Lucky for you I actually get real data instead of pull shit out of my ass.

3.2 million people retired in 2020 - double from the year before.

And 2021 is on pace for the same.

Now, Tom, show me your proof that really those people didnt retire and are instead rakingi n food stamps, medicaid, housing assistance .    And this is where Tommy the hypocrite goes and hides under a rock.

Tommie-poo is a weasel and a coward when called out on his bullshit. For him, belief is much, much more important than facts. That includes calling government benefits "handouts." That term, of course, implies that everyone who receives those benefits is a freeloading bum. The reality is that we all pay for those benefits with taxes. They're like insurance--those who need it can use it. It's part of the American social contract, a concept far, far beyond the grasp of things like Tommie-poo.

If everything is going so well why is it so urgent to spend trillions of $ where we don't have?

Tom, did you find your proof?   I mean - I showed mine after your demand.   And we're still waiting for you to show yours.   I know you're not a massive hypocrite who demands other people live up to a different standard than you do, right?   So - show us your work that all the people who dropped out of the workforce are currently welfare queens and not retired.

Here's your big chance to show everyone you're not completely, 100% full of shit.

All you have to do is read the musings of the liberals here who say all is well.

The article you posted did not say 50% of the people who dropped out of the work force retired.  It did say that the number of retirees is up 50%  Two different things.

According to the USDA the number of people on food stamps in the last 2 years has gone from 37m to 41m.

In Az where I am working temporaily, there are people begging for $ outside Frys Supermarkets that has a help wanted sign.  Something is wrong here.

No it said its up by 100%.   In one year.

And your evidence for everyone being on government assistance is that you saw a begger on the street in Arizona?  Holy shit.

Oh - and food stamps from the USDA? We're right back to where we were before the pandemic hit.     Here's the actual data that you felt inclined to not post to.   https://fns-prod.azureedge.net/sites/default/files/resource-files/SNAPsummary-11.pdf

2018 -  40.7 million

2019 -  35.7 million

2020 -  39.8 million

2021 -  41.6 million

Thanks for your comprehensive proof.

Can pj read?  In 2019 it was 35m. It is now almost 42m

Yes, and I can show data that isn't cherry picked.    We have the same number of people on Food stamps now as three years ago...but somehow there's way more people absent from the workforce.    Can Tom explain that aside from the observation he made about seeing a begger in AZ?
