Dying with the ramifications of doing nothing would be harder still. Losing jobs is bad. Losing lives is worse.
I still favor whatever policies and measures save the most lives, even if they don't produce the optimal results for the economy. But that's just my crazy liberal socialist point of view. Dollars can be replaced. Lives cannot.
