I've never been to China Town Vegas. If you were going to have one lunch there, what place would it be? I don't care about fancy, but I want great.
Kevin seems to know his way around this topic, and I'm expecially interested in his input.
Thanks.

Do you have specifics in mind? First, Chinese or other Asian food (every conceivable Asian cuisine can be found there)? If Chinese, Cantonese, Szechuan, seafood, Shanghainese, noodles, Northern Chinese, or something else?
I assume that transportation/getting there is not an issue, though buses frequently travel the length of Spring Mountain, and Chinatown is basically a long, skinny two miles along that corridor.
I also assume that price isn't a consideration, but in any case, you would be in the Land of Lunch Specials.
Narrow it down, and I do have specific recommendations, though I've never had a bad meal in that neighborhood.
Make sure and save room for dessert at Ronald's Donuts. World class apple fritters!

Apple Fritters? I love Apple Fritters. I just Googled it! Going to Vegas on the 16th. Gonna get me a couple. Thanks for the heads up. Honestly, Apple Fritters are my fave.
Golden tiki for a drink for sure.
Shangs Artisan Nooodle is nationally recognized and awarded. Noodles made in house and you can watch them hand pull them. It's cheap and insanely delicious. Expect a line. Get the beef noodle soup.
Hong Kong Garden for seafood. Weera Thai for Thai. There's another seafood place nearby, BK or SK Seafood, that used to be open until 3 am.
Honestly, it's unbelievable how many Asian restaurants are in this neighborhood and how incredibly good they all are. It's like Convoy Street in San Diego, if you've ever been there.

Kevin, how about giving me one favorite Chinese, Japanese and Thai. There will be a bunch of us so I don't want to do an exclusively seafood joint, however.
Thanks.

Ton Shou Premium for Japanese, Weera Thai for Thai, and China Mama for Chinese. Can't go wrong with any of those. All very easy to get to and reasonably priced.
Let us know what you think of any of those places.
Kevin, thank you sir. This trip's not happening until October and I'll report then. Asian food is a broad spectrum, but in general, it's my favorite of all ethnic categories. I'll opt out of the bugs, however.
On this trip, we're spending one night in Vegas, then 3 in Laughlin. Most of us are going to see Wizard of Oz at the Sphere on our first night.
Never been to Las Vegas Chinatown.Have to try to squeeze in on my June Trip.
I know June hot as hell. Can't help it's my birthday.
