Like PJ, don't care about those who chose to be unvaxed.  I also don't care about those who chose to be uneducated.

I care about both, because those populations have increased the duration and severity of the pandemic as well as encouraged the proliferation of variants. It's been amazing and appalling how many people have chosen to willfully ignore health advice from experts. I mean, yeah, maybe you don't have the time or inclination to learn all about virology, but if that's the case, why wouldn't you trust the experts? I don't watch over my auto mechanic's shoulder, demanding that he explain to me everything he's doing. I don't demand a 1000-page recap of all the scientific studies related to the medication my doctor prescribes. I don't ask to see the credentials of the TV weatherman when he tells me it's going to rain tomorrow.

So why do so many people not trust or believe the CDC, Fauci, etc.? Why on earth do so many people think they know more than the experts? I know a lot of this is (stupidly) political, but maybe there's something even more basic in play here...? It makes no sense to me.

No I truly believe what was written.  I'm not trying to prove anything actually.  There are hundreds of articles like this and it is talked about endlessly on talk radio as well.  You just got to simply believe what you want to believe as our government is next to impossible to try and prove anything about. (whether it be right or left)  I won't disagree with you Kevin that anybody can find something for any argument.  

Basically what I'm saying is this is just another shit government program/organization that does substandard work.  And we pay taxes for these garbage services.

Well, we had a new variant of the disease that was much more contagious than the original.    Is that news to you?   The CDC and Dr Fauci changed with their opinion with the research that studied the virus.      What a huge scandal !

Was your honest expectation the CDC should have had all the answers 2 years ago when the virus first made landfall?   THey've been studing it 24/7 since it hit and have been giving us their best advice based upon their knowledge ever since.    Their klnowledge has changed as they learned more and the virus evolved.    And thats your big gripe?   They might have been wrong early on?    Seriously?

Better listen to pandemic expert, Joe Rogan, instead.
