 That is funny - you have the audacity to say " Was your honest expectation the CDC should have had all the answers 2 years ago when the virus first made landfall?" You know why I find you question moronic? Well, according to you and the other lying liberals posting here, ALL of you expected President Trump to "have all the answers" and you even blamed him for the spread of the virus, again and again. You are a hypocrite - but then all of you lying liberals are.

Ha! Are you serious? By the time the pandemic hit, we knew very well that Trump didn't have the brains or ability (OR the inclination, as it turned out) to solve even a minor crisis, and he would be utterly out of his depth if and when he was presented with a major crisis.

And so it proved. The most we were ever hoping for was that he wouldn't fuck up the efforts to deal with the pandemic. If he had jetted off to Mar E Asshole and spent the next year jerking off to Fox News, we would have been quite happy. Instead, he banned travel from the wrong direction, ignoring where the virus was really coming from, and continually minimized the threat of the virus, recommending quack cures like chugging bleach and telling everyone it would magically go away.

Trump said that he alone could fix it. We knew better. It's only the deluded RepubliQ who believed in him at that point.

What Jerry pretends not to understand--and I don't believe him; he's not as stupid as, say, Tommie-poo--is that ALL announcements from CDC/Fauci were provisional and based on what they knew so far--and that as scientists, they could and probably would revise their evaluations as new data became available. That's science!

I'm extremely grateful that our nation's scientists didn't cave to all the political pressure and personal attacks that were intended to keep them from doing their jobs. Their efforts were heroic. So when folks like Jerry affect to know more about the science of pandemics and virology than those experts--that's simply ludicrous.

It's also horrifying that one of our nation's two major political parties made it their mission to help spread the virus. In return for some short-term political advantage, Trump as well as many RepubliQ rising stars blocked public safety mandates, depicting those lifesaving measures as attacks on their followers' FREEDUMB. We'll never know how many hundreds of thousands the RepubliQ killed by doing that.

Govt agency = crap service.  Fund something private and you'd get much better product.  End of debate.  

And yes, the libs tortured Trump for not having answers.  You can't just ignore that happened.  It's why he lost the election.  Now I don't pretend to like Trump but I'm sure as hell not going to pretend Joe isn't senile either.

I blamed Trump for his poor leadership - and rightfully so.

- I blamed him for withholding the intelligence he received about the virus' severity from the general public.   He openly confesses to this.   He thought it was bad for him politically in an election year.

- I blame him for having jam-packed political rally's in the context of there being no vaccine

- I blame him for promoting snake oil products to treat the disease with no basis for any of them working...and none of which he used when he was hospitalized

- I blame for his open support for the psychos who stormed the MIchigan capital and attempted to kidknap the governor motivated by her COVID protocol policies

- I blame him for lazily and cowardly outsourcing the COVID response to each state instead of tackling it nationally

- I blame him for embracing conspiracy theorists like MIke Lindell while demagoging the nation's leading scientists because the latter disagreed with his uninformed opinions.   

Which one of those line items demonstrates a lack of knowledge about the COVID virus?
