You are correct in this instance.
However, if you look at the murder and other crime rates in the United States for the last several years, we would do better to have more immigrants and fewer native-born Americans like...you! Why? Because on average, immigrants commit fewer violent and property crimes than us native-borns.
So if you want to base government policy on what happened in two minutes on the Las Vegas Strip, you make a good point about the dangers of illegal immigrants. On the other hand, if we take into account years of national data, then the point you are trying to make is an embarrassing dumpster fire.

Pj - most of the data comparisons are from 2018, so the covid argument is invalid. According to democrats covid was still raging well into 2022, so that there is a very good reason to have had tighter border restrictions; which should have been the same as for those flying into the country.

I dont understand the datapoint that we "ecountered" 3 million illegal immigrants at the border.
Thats a measure of how many immigrants are coming - not how many are let in. And the ones who are "ecountered" crossing illegally are all sent back. So what is the issue exactly?
