Virginia Supreme Court Rules on New Congressional Map

The Virginia Supreme Court on Friday invalidated a new, voter-approved redistricting map, delivering a significant victory for Republicans in the state ahead of the fast-approaching 2026 midterm elections. --- DemocRATs will have to find another way to cheat America and Americans.  ----  https://www.foxnews.com/politics/virginia-supreme-court-rules-new-congressional-map

That ruling was expected, and now it will be successfully challenged, because it was based on a ruling in one rural conservative district. That's been planned all along. The "significant victory" is just a minor delay.

Fox Nooze is lying to you. Gee, who would have thought?

You are the one lying - the ruling will stand.

The Virginia Supreme Court didn't rule on the legality of the new map, only on the legality of the referendum that approved it. So now the Legislature will simply pass a bill approving it.

They wanted to have it approved by the voters, but they didnt need to. Just like in Tay-ucks-ass and other fascist MAGA states, the Legislature has the power to approve the new map on its own. The blue states wanted to use democracy and called referendums. The red states just passed decrees without consulting the voters at all.

As I said, this was fully anticipated and won't stop the redistricting.

Even if you scream LIAR LIAR LIAR.

BREAKING: Virginia Supreme Court strikes down Democrats' controversial redistricting referendum, ruling it unconstitutional. "This violation irreparably undermines the integrity of the resulting referendum vote and renders it null and void."  --   https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1388704903119368&set=a.641843761138823  ----  May be a graphic of ‎map and ‎text that says '‎PASSED CURRENT ر 5 FOX FOX NEWS channel nnel VIRGINIA SUPREME COURT STRIKES DOWN DEMOCRATS' REDISTRICTING REFERENDUM‎'‎‎

Yes. The referendum was ruled to have been improper. But the Legislature doesnt need the referendum to act. It was a formality more than anything else.

The redistricting will still be done. Regardless of what some Facebook rando says.

Only the Va Redistricting Commission can redraw the maps; not the legislature

it took less than 24 hours of the Federalist Society's overturning of the Voting Rights Act  for the Confederate Flag shitkickers of Dixieland to revert back to their Jim Crowe maps of  the 50's.

They are still going to lose in November and it wont be close.

They didn't overturn the Act. They followed it by saying you can't redistrict based on race.

The Constitution says the same thing.

The Texas redistricting was EXTREMELY based on race. SCOTUS is nothing more than a MAGA appendage.
