So then the number of Congressional Districts with a black Repreentative should line up with their perecentage in the states population, right?

If NBA players were chosen as representatives of their populations instead of skill then - yes.

I dont have to explain the logic of the Voting Rights Act anymore than Roe Wade - both of which stood through 50+ years of precedent in our hostory.     This hijacked Supreme Court will be probably be more maligned by history than the president who put three of them in place.   And thats saying something.

The VRA says no discrimination based on race.  It cuts both ways. 

Elections should be based on voting for the best candidate not a DEI candidate 

What alternate universe do you live in?    Elections arent decided by a skills test.  If they were dipshits like Lauren Boebert wouldnt be in office.       People are elected on a platform that represents the people of their geographic area.      A fairly designed map would put representatives in the same ratio as their people.    

There's a reason why the popular vote and electoral vote is different.   When you gerrymander it makes it even worse.   But thats the only way Republicans think they can win.    Unfortunately for them they fried everything so bad just in one year that even the new maps wont save them.

They just need to say: are you better off than you were at the end of 2024, or worse? And if it's worse, it's Trump's fault, AND the fault of his lapdog House enablers who have allowed him time and time again to ignore the Constitution and do stupid and illegal things.
