What do you miss the most?

Glad to hear that.  Might be worth run to Sahara when we go back, just for those Crispy Green Beans.  No comps there, but I miss the beans enough it would be worth paying for with my own money...gasp!  LOL.

I Googled PF Chang's regarding our local place; it just said "closing permanently due to Covid."

I most miss Kevin being gone.

And I'm sure everyone looks forward to reading your brilliantly insightful, thoughtful posts, especially the ones where you denounce white supremacists and state that Covid-19 is a serious health crisis.

Candy - what shows are you watching?  We are into the Walking Dead series.  The wife likes Peaky Blinders on netflix.  I find it ok; the one hour episodes should be about 40 minutes.

I've always denounced white supremicist groups, just like 99.9% of Republicans do.  Covid is not a health crisis, but it is a problem.

I look for movies, love old black and whites.  Last night watched "My Man Godfrey", "Life With Father", "The Bishop's Wife", "Fargo." You can tell I'm an oldie as well.

Since husband finally installed our Comcast "boxes" I can call up movies...press the button and say "John Grisham's The Rainmaker" into the speaker and there it is.  (There is an old "The Rainmaker" with Katharine Hepburn and I think Robert Mitchum or Burt Lancaster, which is why I have to say "John Grisham's..."  but that's actually a good one too, so I'll watch it soon.)

Some cost to rent or buy, which I might do but right now I look for the "free" ones.  Like watching them when I'm ready.  Some have commercials but somehow they are few and surprisingly short, like 15 seconds.

X-finity usually advertises when certain shows or movies are available free online.  A while back I watched every season of The Sopranos.  Had seen it before, but not in a long time.

Law and Order, especially the ones with Jerry Orbach as Detective Lenny Brisco.

Have learned to like some old stuff like Friends, George Lopez, King of Queens.  For a while was into Three and a Half Men.  Pretty funny.  Mostly stuff like this I rejected trying out before, but now appreciating.

Husband is into the car restoration/rebuild shows on Motor Trend channel, but he complains they are all repeats now.

MASH, Andy Griffith.  They are repeats too, but I like them so much I don't mind.

Never tried to watch Walking Dead.  Too gruesome, at least the ads for it.  Haven't heard of Peaky Blinders.

Nope, it's not a crisis.  Most of the folks who have died would have died soon from something else.  1% of the population has not died.  Nope.  0.1% of the population has not died. Nope.  Less than .07% of the population has died.  This is not a crisis.

We will experience an economic crisis, however, due to all of the hysteria, worry, mask wearing, and the ensuing strangulation of commerce.  Some ask how can mask wearing strangle the economy.

People don’t enjoy their social experiences while wearing a mask, so we don’t see as many visits to service businesses.  There are and will continue to be a massive trickledown effect from this as companies fire people for lack of sales.  This will lead to less spending on things like washing machines and cars and other goods.  Producers of these products will fire workers for lack of sales.  This will lead to further trickledown and more job loss.  This will lead to increased poverty, malnutrition and an increase death rate which will dwarf that of Covid.

Those who are not monovision understand this.

Peaky Blinders is a British crime family story set in the 1920s.  Some of the actors have heavy British accents.

Did you ever try Game of Thrones?  Great show to binge on.

I also like old tv shows.  Honeymooners/Lucy.  Almost every comedy since then have used some of their plotlines.

Hogans Heroes & McHales Navy.  The scenes with Ensign Parker (Tim Conway) & Captain Binghampton are priceless.
