I didn't have to strain even my pea brain to give a thought to what he meant, which could be taken either way since we know Biden will run. So somebody will first challenge D.T., then Biden on election night. I appreciate anyone's reasoned thoughts about any of the candidates. Thanks.

Re Hutchinson, the question in my mind is whether he'll be like all the other RepubliQ and prattle on about CRT and "grooming" and woke woke woke woke woke and book banning and virtue signaling, you've heard it all, blah blah blah--or he'll talk about the things that actually concern Americans and propose real solutions. If he does that--you know, talk like someone who's actually sane, rather than Trump+the last 20 talking heads, I think he has a chance against the Turd, and against Biden, should it come to that.

So maybe the real question is whether there's any appetite for a voice of reason among the 75 million goobers, or they just crave more Trump junk food.

Joe may be slow and all, but at least he's not a vindictive prick with absolutely no vision for the future of America except to become a dictator.

Of course I could go on about TFG's other many reasons why he should not be in power, but there is no need here.

I watched most of it. The questions were softballs designed to let the culture warriors and pitchers of red meat show off. When Hutchinson answered a couple of questions as if the asker actually wanted an answer, several of his opponenets looked at him, vexed and surprised.

In other words, he was the odd duck in the pond, and because he doesn;t seem to want to pander, I don't think he'll last very long. I was impressed with him the way I would be impressed if I was watching one of those amateur cooking shows and he was the only one who didn't set fire to himself.

I disagree with Asa ideologically....but thats fine. He's a good American. I wouldnt vote for him but he isnt a threat to the institutions of our Democracy. Sometimes the other side gets to win. If that was the case with him I think we would be ok.

I was considering that, and certainly, having the Oval Office occupied by someone who isn't a criminal, con man, traitor, pathological narcissist, and habitual liar would be a vast improvement over Trump even if he was a Republican. How far down the toilet we would go depends on the makeup of Congress and the Senate--I think he'd appoint a Cabinet based on competence (albeit with the proper ideological leanings), not drooling, slavish loyalty.

Though...I think he has no chance to beat Trump for the nomination precisely because he's decent and rational and a good American. What indication is there that the MAGAs want that? And the MAGAs control the RepubliQ.
