Why is one obese?

Obesity is a result of lifestyle choices - the number of people with genetic propensity towards obesity is often cited as a major cause - that is just liberal bullshit. Put down the fork and spoon - you can't become and stay obese UNLESS you consume more calories than you need to actually live. No one gets obese unless they eat too much. Anyone saying differently is lying.

Please don't hurt our President's feelings!

It is refreshing to see in print that one of the President's most vocal haters recognizes that Donald Trump is their President.------------mr selfie says "Please don't hurt our President's feelings"

Kevin, is that you?  No connection between politics and overweight?  Wow, I'm shocked.  Have you checked into some sort of 'play well with others' rehab?  I'm proud of you.  LOL.

Unlike our idiot Trumpers, I don't try to politicize every single aspect of life. Unlike Fox News, I don't try to twist every single set of data into propaganda.

Obesity is a national health issue. Health care, which includes dealing with such issues, should not be a political issue. We should have a national single-payer universal health care system, the way other, more advanced nations do. Period.

Therefore, the first step in dealing with the national obesity problem is to remove the political obstacles to universal health care. That's one of the very few positives of the current pandemic.

Your memory fails. In line with most journalistic standards, when I first refer to the President I usually call him "President Trump" and thereafter "Trump." I think name-calling reduces your credibility.

What's with North Dakota?  Maybe they need the insulation.  It is cold up there.

Folks who wear heavy clothes much of the year usually don't feel as much social pressure to be thin. Same thing happens in prisons with jump-suits. They usually eat healthier, get more exercise, and get fatter anyway.

More of Kevin's bullshit. The first step to dealing with the national obesity problem is to educate our childern at home and at school. There are no "political obstacles" there. Universal healthcare is just another tax for those who work to pay for those who do not work. It is a fact that those who work have fewer health issues than those who don't work -the non working  have more time to gorge themselves on food, drink to excess, sit on their obese asses playing video games and watching tv. They have the majority of health issues that plague our health services and bleed the dollars that are there.

President Trump is obese. Residents of red states have a higher propensity for obesity. But according to David, it's all their fault.

Okay, I'll go with that!
