Why Las Vegas is NOT Running Out of Water Anytime Soon

No - thats just a bunch of bullshit you heard from the same cable news network that told you Antifa was behind the Jan 6 attacks.

How does Tom think ocean Salmon go inland to their spawning grounds?   Alaska AIrlines?

Salmon use the same water ways as the smelt that Tom tries to pervert the discussion into.    Just like Slant-Head on FOX.     Thats what people do who would rather engage in political attacks instead of addressing real problems.

Smelt? What a dope tom is.

Which is a better use of limited resources?

A) - Using millions of gallons of water for the needs of millions of people & to grow crops to feed millions of people?

OR

B) Use millions of gallons for a few fish that are also available commercially?

My opinion; (A) which is the choice for intelligent people. Choice (B) is the choice for limited mentality liberals

Clearly you arent comfortable  with your choice which is why you felt inclined to make a strawman argument about smelt instead of Salmon.

And this really isnt a topic that climate-change-deniers have any street cred to weigh in on.    You can add the cost of California's water crisis to the bill for the Republican prefferred energy plan of burning rocks for electricty.

This is one of the most asinine comments PJ has ever posted here - take a bow, moron.

This is a stupid question, because A) and B) aren't mutually exclusive, nor are they the only two alternatives.

That said, let's explore Tom's "a few fish" stupidity. He may actually be ignorant enough to think that driving the salmon/smelt/hippopotamus run into extinction would be no big deal. In reality, it would have disastrous consequences reaching far beyond the elimination of a species. Stupid people like Tom have been wrecking the environment for decades now.

There are about 3,000 salmon coming from this reservoir.  Assuming they weigh 10 pounds each for a total of 30,000 pounds or 15 tons.  There are about 1 million tons of wild salmon caught each year.  So the salmon in question make up .000015% of the total salmon catch.

So Ca is wasting millions of gallons of water that can be used to relieve water shortages & help millions of people get water & feed millions to protect an insignificant amount of fish
