I'll take it whenever it's available. I get a flu shot every year too. How about you?

I have not had flu shot in the past.
I would prefer to wait to see what the side effects are
First in line always for the flu shot and now when COVID-19 vaccine comes out.
As with the mask and distancing, I'll take whatever is out there for the best chance to be protected. They may not be 100% perfect guaranteed, but they are the best we've got.
I would no more abstain from getting a flu shot than I would abstain from using my seat belt while driving.
Most likely our President will try to make the vaccine an October Surprise. Obviously he doesn't care about American lives, but he does care about winning.
So if we hear about the FDA being pressured to release the vaccine before the election, my answer is no.
Do they know yet if this will have to be an annual shot like the flu? Or if its just a one time thing? I haven't received a flu shot since I was a child.
Come October or when ever available, I will make my decision then based on truthful feedback and not the idiotic musings from the resident lying liberals who would rather lie even if telling the truth was easier.

That's a bit selfish. There are babies too young to get conventional flu shots and others who either cannot get shots or on whom the shots are ineffective. When the herd isn't immune to a large enough extent, some of them get sick and some of them die.
If one is looking for and expecting perfection in this world, they are looking in the wrong place.

There's a counter argument surrounding the efficacy of the flu shot....and its side effects. And unlike COVID it does not incubate for 10 days - it usually hits you like a ton of bricks.
I can only recall having the flu once in my adult life. Never had a shot.

You can Google that info, immunizations given from infancy on up. There is a trainload of them, given on a schedule across months and years, some require boosters. MMR, Hep B, Tdap, HPV for a few. The first new baby visit to the pediatrician will set up a schedule, when to start, how often for boosters, etc.
Flu vaccine is an annual one for everybody (with few exceptions). The strains of flu mutate every year, so the vaccine is different every year. The experts try to hit the mark. Sometimes they miss it by the time influenza raises its ugly head. But I've always taken the shot, never had the flu. Never had a reaction.
I guess we don't know yet whether the Covid vaccine will be yearly. I'd guess yes, but just a guess.
