That one's pretty bad, with the "mass vulture" effect taking place every time the larger progressive nears $25,000. In past iterations, people have loitered for hours in the casino, waiting until the progressive reached whatever close number they were looking for, and then commandeered slots, playing them one penny at a time until the progressive was hit. The idea was not so much to hit the progressive as it was to get the small bonus that was doled out to everyone who was playing at that moment--I think it was $25.
Then the place looked like when the lights are turned on in the pantry, with the cockroaches scattering. Mass exodus from the parking garage. The best of Vegas! Only at the South Point.

Good Lord - what is the reason for all of this negativity? I personally have been @ South Point during these promotions and was awarded the $25 bonus several times when the progressive was hit. I continued to play, as many others did. Sure, some people were there for a chance to win the progressive and/or the bonus - and why not? Would you stick around if you were only there for a chance to hit the progressive or bonus and didn't win? This scenario happens all the time whenever any casino runs similar events - it is the norm. Singling out South Point is just an attempt to paint a bad picture of one of the few Vegas casinos that constantly runs monthly bonus events. Sounds like a case of sour grapes. If you don't like how these types of events are run, then don't participate. No one is forcing you to be there. Give your negative crap a rest.

I know you hate me because I criticize Donald Trump, your lord and master. But he doesn't own South Point, so there's no reason for you to leap to his defense.
South Point has its positives and negatives. They're making the negatives worse and reducing the positives. I'll continue to comment on that if I see fit. You can comment on whatever you like, though you do seem compelled to pair ALL your comments with personal attacks. Perhaps you should give that a rest as well.*
*Fat chance.

And this is you not being an asshole? Got it.
It is apparent with your post here that you don't "got it" -- Get professional mental health help.
I did note in the fine pring that to qualify for this promotion, you have to run $1 thru your machine every 60 seconds. That's not a whole lot more than playing a penny at a time, but it's a start.
Have not seen this one before. Is there a meter somewhere that shows the current bonus? I also note that it averages being hit 3 times per day. So if you're playing for all 3, you can make $45 each day. Not sure I'd play all day for that! This promotion is one of the least "enticing" I've seen in several years... - compared to getting spins at certain levels of daily coin-in or doubling up on end of trip cashouts with Walmart cards, etc. To each his own...
I was just there last week. This is even more of a roll lower one. I think it starts at something like 1K and goes up to $5K. Says will hit 3x a day like Larry said above. It is $15 for everybody when it hits and only runs like two days a week I believe. (There is no mini jackpot like previous versions)

I was wrong about two progressives. There is only one this time.
